Gorgeous Large Antique Blown Glass Apothecary Jar Great Vase Green Glass RATS! My photos do not do this beautiful old glass piece justice! The green is ... moreSooooo much better in person that it's not showing in my photos! I was told that it is an apothecary jar- but it does not have a lid. I'm not so sure that it ever did. Because the mouth flairs out, more like an open jar, and there's no lip etc. to indicate it may have had one. I thought it would make a fabulous vase for you, or a perfect open jar to put your balls, shells.you name it, this jar will make them shine! It's an antique blown glass piece, and the color is a lovely bright light green. It's also large, measuring 11 5/8" tall, 7" diameter at the mouth and 6" diameter at the base. It's heavy, weighing in at a solid 3 lbs. The glass is thick, and it's filled with anomolies original to the making- I'm trying to show in in my close ups, even holding it up to the sky doesn't show you very well, though. There's lots of lines(the glass is very wavy inside) bubbles and burps, even on the base. That being said, there is absolutely NO damage at all to this piece- it's in amazing condition, and just drop dead gorgeous! Please ask if you have any questions. Or feel free to inform me if you have any information about one of my listings. As with any of my items, if you ever need extra pictures, let me know, just make sure that you give me an email address to send them to. Pick up is welcome on all of my items. I’m happy to combine shipments for you, but I do ask that there be no more than 7 days from the purchase of the first item- I will invoice after 7 days, as I cannot hold the items longer than that. Also. Many of my items come from local rural estate sales and auctions. They are coming right from the barn or attic to you! I do not take the time to clean and polish before I sell- they are in the condition found, as you see in my photos- and I do my best to photo and describe thoroughly. Please email me befor

THANK YOU FOR VISITING US COTTAGE and CASTLE DESCRIPTION: Vintage Japanese GLASS FISHING FLOAT Rare Odd Shape& Moss Green Color(No. 5) This float ... moreis approximately 10 inches in circumference which is about the size of a baseball. It is made of hand blown glass. This is a Japanese fishing float was actually used and has spent its life at sea. It has been picked out of hundreds of beachcombed floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. Its thick heavy glass contains impurities. Inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. It is in good and sound condition with the normal wear one finds on fishing floats that have survived years in the ocean. The float is beautiful unusual moss green color. It is also very unusual and rare in that it has an odd shape that is out-of-round and kind of flat on one side. The glass also has many bubbles, inclusions and striations. This float is a rare find because of the UNUSUAL ODD SHAPE and moss green color with its many bubbles and striations. This is a lot of 5 green uranium glass stemmed wine or water glasses. With a soft diamond pattern, that glow green under black light. They're about ... more5 3/4 inches tall, and about 3 5/8 inches in diameter at the rim. One has a slight tilt that makes its rim about 1/8 inch off level. All 5 have the usual slight mineral deposits, straw marks, unexposed bubbles, and wrinkles, but no abrasions, chips, cracks, or otherwise easily visible defects. All 5 ring with a wet finger run around the rim. They have no maker's mark. They're for sale as is. You may have noticed that my ads make my offerings sound unattractive. Especially when I say, for sale as is. My goal is to never disappoint a customer. Therefore I strive to be clear about all flaws that I can find in my items. Satisfied customers are more important to me than flashy ads. Since I’m human, I’m certain that I won’t notice every imperfection. Since I don’t have the world’s best methods of scientific analysis, I’m certain that I won’t discover every hidden technical flaw. Since I’m still learning about these items, I’m certain that I will use some incorrect names and terms. So if your only hesitation to buy is due to my approach, I’ll very gladly add whatever text corrections or photos you need to see, and are willing to explain, in order for you to bid. I very much appreciate your interest and guidance, and I wish you the best of luck in your bids!

The condition is excellent- no chips. Cracks or repairs. I guarantee everything written about the piece. I will combine shipping when possible. Please let me send an invoice so I may bill the correct shipping costs. The Ebay invoice may be incorrect. The shipping cost reflects the additional 9% Ebay final value fee recently imposed. I take great care in packing my items and insure all my shipments. I keep my handling costs as reasonable as possible and include cost of materials and insurance in those costs. Please Note: I will leave feedback promptly when payment is received. I lost my top rating when I sold fewer items not because of any selling problems. I want ... moremy Ebay clients to realize the importance of feedback to sellers. A 4 sounds good to the buyer. But it is not good enough for a seller to maintain power selling status, for which they need 4.6 DSR. Sellers must have 4.3 to maintain selling privileges. So, even though the seller may not be perfect, leaving less than a 5 DSR will have a negative impact. If you are unhappy, please email your problem to me and see if we can work it out. Ancient Roman Solid Bronze Ring with Dark Green Glass Inlay 300-400 AD
About The Roman Jewelry Apart from gold and other precious metals. Romans used glass to make their jewelry. Roman jewelry gives us an insight into the culture of this ancient country. Just like other ancient civilizations. Rome also had its distinct strata of social classes. In the Roman society, jewelry was worn for indicating the social status of a person and attaching pieces of clothing rather than beautification. Gold was used by the artisans and jewelers for carving the adornments and jewelry as it was believed to be the metal of the Gods and supposed to have descended from the sun. Other than gold, the materials used in jewelry making were bronze, Roman glass, bone beads and precious gemstones which were excavated from far off places like Persia, Far East, Indus Valley, etc. Diamonds, emeralds and sapphires found their way from the ... moresilk route to the Roman land to appease the rich and mighty of this civilization. About the Roman Rings Romans liked to wear big rings which drew attention and revealed the status of the wearer. A gold ring often contained a huge gemstone or Roman glass which was generally worn by the Senators and the bureaucrats. The common people referred as the Plebeians were allowed to wear only rings made of iron. However. Some Plebeians were awarded the right to wear the golden rings for their bravery or special service to the state. But gradually such stringent rules were relaxed during the reign of Justinian I. Women of ancient Rome were more inclined to wear multiple rings of varied materials and designs on their hands without the constraints of social classes. About This Ring One of the most unique inclusions to our collection. This very solid and weighty bronze Roman ring bears an incredibly thick hoop which narrows as it reaches its bezel. Its rounded cup-type bezel is tall and large, and it holds within itself the most beautiful green glass inlay. This glass inla

Ancient Roman Olive Green Ribbed Glass Flask - 300 AD
A beautiful ancient Roman green glass flask. Dating to the 4th century AD. Free blown. Composed of a beautiful olive green glass, the body in the shape of a ripe fruit hanging from a tree. The neck flaring, the small base slightly concave and with a prominent pontil mark(scar left behind from the ancient production process) The body is decorated with a series of carefully crafted shallow ribs which would have been tool worked whilst the glass was still soft. The style is highly suggestive of an origin within the eastern confines of the empire, likely the Levant. Many examples of this type can be termed somewhat crude. With little care taken or skill implied as to the overall form. That is not the case with this piece; it is the product of an ancient craftsman at the height of his craft and everything about this beautiful little flask is carefully ... morebalanced. Simply a magnificent piece of ancient glass. For a similar example currently with the Corning Museum. Please see: Whitehouse. D. 2001. Roman Glass in the Corning Museum of Glass: Volume One. Pg. 178. New York: Corning Museum. Height: 3 ⅞ inches. Condition: Excellent. Unrestored. A very tiny crack to one side of the body is only noticeable on close inspection. Otherwise free of cracks. Provenance: Formerly in the collection of the French painter. Sculptor, film producer and writer Daniel Lander(1927– 2013) Mr. Lander. A close friend of the noted artist Jean Cocteau, was an eclectic collector of ancient art. Two images of the man himself and this piece in his collection will be made available to the new purchaser upon request.
