It is very difficult to show the quality of 2.000-year old Roman glass, at least under the time and cost constraints of working on ebay. Given a day in a studio with proper lighting, I'm sure we could offer a better look at the item. This vase is about 65mm in height and relatively symmetrical. Just like today. The Romans created glass for every day use and for royalty and for visiting dignitaries and so on. The pieces considered today to be museum quality would for the most prt be those in which the finest artisans spent long hours producing as close to perfect as the skills and glass of the day would allow. The first Roman glass to which we were exposd was in Israel in 1980 and the pieces were very delicate and the glass was very thin. That would subject the items to breakage quite easily.
