Authentic Antique 16th C. Tudor Period FINGER RING Sz: 8 1/2 US 18.5mm 11576
Authentic Antique 16th C. Tudor Period FINGER RING Sz: 8 1/2 US 18.5mm 11576. I have opened a web site to help with the attribution of ancient finger rings. There was no good resource online to help with identification of common mostly bronze finger rings and there have been so many found with metal detectors over the years. This web site is at. The web site does not sell any items. It is there solely to help other collectors. I hope you find the web site useful! This ring is made of bronze. This ring is guaranteed to be an authentic artifact found with a metal detector in the Balkans. This ring dates to the Tudor period. 16th century A.D. I believe that this ring belonged to someone that was a member of the medieval Tudor Royal family. In Medieval times the concept of family was vastly different from modern definition of a family. Up until ... morethe beginning(or in some areas ´til the end) of the 19th century family meant all the people living in the same household. In other words. The definition included even servants, kitchen and cleaning staff, stable boys, field workers etc. My guess, based on the material of these rings, is that these belonged to the members of the work force. The actual royalties would, more likely than not, have worn similar pieces made of gold or silver. Therefore, I believe these rings are very closely linked to the Royal Tudor family. Please see the title for the size of this ring. You can SHOP FOR RINGS BY SIZE in my store. I have a categories set up based on US ring sizes. You can also search my ring auctions by size if you like. The US rings have a space between the whole and fraction size. So search for8(space)1/2 for a size 8 1/2. The international sizes have NO spaces i.e. 18.5mm. I accept Paypal only. If you are the winning bidder. You will receive an automatic invoice. Please check its accuracy.
