It also comes with very nice sterling silver tips on the cord. Worth nearly $40 on their own. The bolo slider measures 2" wide(51 mm) and 2& 3/8" long(60 mm) and the sterling tips measure 1.5" long(38 mm) It's signed by the silversmith, though difficult to read, and seems to say"SLMM. 6 Vintage Spear Tips Primitive Arrow Unique Hand Forged Old fishing?
This auction is for a lot of 6 hand forged primitive spear tips or arrow heads. These were brought back to the USA by a Navy veteran in the 1960's. He was stationed in the Phillipines. They originally had bamboo shafts which have long since decayed. All are between 8 1/2 and 9 inches in length. And sharpened on one end. I believe these were used for spearing small fish.

The old one was actually disintigrating as I handled it.that was a first for me! The Turquoise stone may be from the Morencie mine not too far from me here in Arizona. I say that based on the matrix. With the golden highlights. It may also be a low grade Bisbee. In any event, take a close look there is Quartz in there too. It is tight in the bezel too.Great! I love the primitive design and the deep deep repousse work. The Bolo Pendant is almost 3/4" deep! Because of all of the Sterling Silver. It is heavy in weight and it is huge size. I can tell you from my personal experience that this one is memmorable and I doubt that I'll ever run across anything silmilar. I've enjoyed having it in my collection and restoring it. Osage Orange Long Bow, The knot handle bow, Antelr tips and arrow rest
Let me start by syaing I am not a professional Boyer. This is my third"working" bow. I've learned a couple hard lessons along the way and at this point have learned to take my time and not try and cut corners. This is all hand made using all hand tools and an old draw horse I found at an auction. I did use a scroll saw to cut the antelr tips to approximate shape and I used a two part epoxy to glue them to the shaft. My first two bows I used walnut for the tips. This is actually my very first to use antler tips and I really like how it turned out. I have not checked the poundage but it is between 35-40 pounds at full draw. I shot about 15-20 arrows out back at a target and it shoots pretty good. While I'm sure you could hunt with it. I'm not sure I would. The knot on the handle has been shaped to fit a hand.well my hand.which ... moreI would say is a medium size grip. The bow measure 62 1/2 inches in length. The bow string used on the pictures is NOT included. Like many osage long bows, or snake bows, this has a lot of character including some beautiful knots and even a hole. The tree this bow was made from came from Nebraska. I had no intention of selling this bow but my son and I are heading to Wyoming in September and I need gas money. I'm a little too proud to give it away so I'm starting at $150.
