Many areas shown in the outer suburbs as undeveloped land on these maps are now built up. Less frequently. The inner London maps in this series show London before the damage inflicted by the Blitz during World War 2 and the subsequent redevelopment of the 1950's and 1960's. The plate features a library shelf of books. Bottles, and bowls. This plate has the old pattern number D3303 which is hand painted on the back of the plate and not included in the mark. This plate. Issued in 1910 is different, since it features a green frame border instead of a brown border, and a wider than usual green plate rim. The series was issued from 1909. And modified several times, renumbered in 1948, and a new translucent version was introduced in 1968 than withdrawn in 1975.
