Bradshaw's Railway map on paper. Published by Henry Blacklock, London and Manchester. The map is not dated and does not have a cover. The explanation on the map refers to Northern Ireland and the Irish free state so guess it is post 1921. I assume that it was included in a Bradshaws book/ guide at some time. It measures approx. 30cm x 40cm and is whole and in a clean condition. There are a few faint brown spots/ blemishes. One side of the map covers England and Southern Scotland. A high quality large map taken from a dilapidated 1922 Times Atlas. It measures 55cm x 41cm approx. Excluding margins. Vertical centrefold as published. Twelve cities are shown. All on a uniform scale. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Hull, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds/Bradford, Bristol, Plymouth, Southampton and Portsmouth. Condition is good. The printed area is fresh and clean. The only real condition problem is with the area close-in to the centrefold; there is some rippling. Most noticeable on the verso, and the paper has been gently rubbed but with no surface loss. The margins are clean but lightly tanned on the edges. Verso is very clean. Twin Foldex 4 inches to 1 mile maps of Great Britain: 1950's: England. Scotland, Wales complete. Touring, holiday and service maps The maps are undated but I believe that they are from the 1950's. The maps are in a hard back cover which is in great condition. There are 6 folded double sided maps(making 12 maps in total) The maps appear to be in very good condition and I haven't seen any obvious marks on them. There is sellotape on the folds of ALL the maps. I don't think that this is to repair them but to reinforce them to prevent any obvious damage. This seems to be a very rare set of maps.
