For sale is a vintage Carling new old stock switch plate cover. For two toggle switches, in the original paper wrapper, with screws. Color is what I consider ivory, but I included a pic of the plate adjacent to a white sheet of paper to verify, so please check the photos. The covers are really pretty, as the rough texture of the covers almost sparkles like rough granite finish. Unusual covers and the only ones I've seen with this finish, out of the hundreds I'm cataloging and selling. These were from estate of my grandfather. Who owned a hardware store in the 1950's. This is a Vintage Set of Two Art Deco White/ Ivory Plastic Protecto-Shield Switch Plate Covers. Made in USA by GITS MOLDING CORP. Chicago, Illinois. The switch plates are still with their original paper packaging. The patent number on the package. 1796226, corresponds to a patent granted in 1931, effectively dating the plates as original to the Art Deco period. The company name, patent number, brand name, and MADE IN USA, are all included on the back of the plates. The switch plate covers have great Art Deco lines. Lot of off white ivory lightswitch plates and light switch with hardware
The photo does not show the screws which are also included. Color is off white like an ivory. These are over 10 years old but work perfect. the plates do not have cracks and the switches all work. We redid our kitchen and replaced these with another color. Being a light color. There is some staining where the screws went in. Thanks for looking and please browse my other items.
