Vtg 1919 Western Electric Ceramic Wall Telephone Lightning Arrestor Protector
M ost of my items are from Yard Sales and Flea Marke t s- I usually do not know their history and am not an expert. With that in mind: This auction is for a vintage ceramic telephone arrest o r/protector made by Western E lectric. It is stamped 1919 on the bottom(the top of the copper cap is stamped 1905) The total length of the item is about 7.25 inches; the larger ceramic part is about 3.5 inches across. The item appears to be in very good ph ysical condition- I don't know if it was ever used or i f it would work. There are no cracks or chips in th e ceramic. It could use a light cleaning. Up for auction is an old celluloid figure of Jesus with the bleeding heart. I found this stuck into the wall in the basement of an old home my friend purchased. It has a hole in the back with a screw in it. I don't know if this was used to bless a home and protect it? It measures 4 5/8" high and 3 1/2" across the widest point.
