Plate#1 ... morehas 2 small places under the switch opening that are no t covered ove r with brass. This looks like a factory oversight. Plate# 3 has a tiny area on the right where the brass is a bit worn. Overall both plates are in good condition and the minor flaws I have mentioned are not detractions from these lovely brass p ieces. Both are marked with the VM logo and the number 24-17. Virginia Metalcrafters went out of business in 2002. And their pieces are now quite collectible. Thanks for looking at this auction.

Average wear from age with some toning. Dust and a few marks throughout. There is also a chip on the upper right trim area although I don't know if that was from the production of the metal or afterwards but it is present. Solid brass switch plate is made by the now out of business Virginia Metalcrafters. They also were license by Colonial Williamsburg to make much of their brass years back. This item is about 26 years old and is stamped on the back with the VM logo and copyright of 1954 Wonderful piece in great pre owned condition
