Perfect find for your period restoration! Brown Bakelite single switch cover. I was looking for the perfect three pole style for my antique bathroom restoration. And I found one for almost 50 dollars! I have no use for this one. So I want to see someone get it that needs it. They are nicer than picture suggests.there was some dirt on the lens or something, I think. Have a lot of Ivory(mostly Sierra) ones listed also. Along with some other period plug adapters. 4 Vintage Sierra Electric Biplex 15a receptacles, w/matching wall plates, ivory
Four vintage Sierra"Biplex" duplex receptacles. Complete with their matching wall plates. These are 15 amp/125 volt grounded duplex receptacles, which Sierra called"Biplex" because of the rectangular pattern they used, instead of the more usual duplex receptacle. These are similar in look to a modern GFI receptacle, but are narrower and taller, necessitating their own wall plates(they do fit in a standard electrical box, however) All components are new old stock, having never been installed. The receptacles are still in their original cardboard boxes, which are also in nice shape and display well if that's important to you. The wall plates are also unused, but two of them no longer have the plastic wrappers, and the other two wrappers aren't in very good shape either. However, they're all in perfect shape, ... morewith no scratches, cracks, or chips(the screws are missing, however you can easily get new ones at your local hardware store) These are pretty neat items-the wall plates have grooves in them similar to the classic Uniline pattern, and the receptacles have similar detailing. These would be an interesting addition to a mid century home restoration, or a retro themed office or store, and are an unusual item. This auction is for four receptacles with matching wall plates-I will not separate the items. Our shipping cost is for all four plates. Vintage NOS Sierra stainless steel single gang wall plates, for switches
Vintage. New old stock Sierra stainless steel wall plates. These plates were made in the fifties, and feature a ridge running lengthways across the top and bottom, to give a little visual interest. They're in perfect condition, with no scratches or dents, although some of them have lost the screws(which are easily replaced at your local hardware store) The photo makes them look kind of dark, but trust me, these plates are nice and bright, with a nice satiny finish to them-they almost look like brushed nickel! The paper wrappers are old and tattered, some are torn, and they've yellowed a bit, but the printing is still clear and I think they'd display well if that's important to you(my photo makes them look yellower than they actually are, I believe the kraft paper used was cream colored) These wall plates would be perfect in ... morea restored mid century kitchen or bathroom, but I also think they'd look cool in retro themed office or store. Vintage Sierra Biplex 15a receptacles, with wall plates, ivory, NOS
A lot of 5 vintage. New old stock Sierra Electric Biplex duplex receptacles, complete with matching Sierra wall plates! The Biplex was Sierra's modern style receptacle, with a rectangular shape similar to Leviton's"Decora" style, but these are taller and narrower than standard, requiring special wall plates to fit. Conveniently, I have five plates for you too! These are to Sierra's own pattern, with vertical grooves matched by the same pattern in the receptacle face. They make a nice, flat surface, very modern with a Mid-Century retro flair! The receptacles are 15 amp 125v grounded outlets, and fit standard electrical boxes. Vintage Sierra Bakelite Ribbed Round Single Outlet Plate - NOS 1950's ORG PKG
This plate. Made by Sierra Electric, is very hard to find. Circa 1950's. Even more rare– it's never been installed(New/Old Stock) and in mint condition. These were used for the old chunky single outlets and would add a lot of authentic charm to your home. Screws are included and still in original wrapper. Wrapper is brittle. 4-1/2” high x 2-3/4” wide Round hole diameter 1-3/8” Cream/ Ivory Color. Made in the USA. Very art deco/ mod feel to them and are the perfect(often forgotten detail) to your mid century designed room. We have several of these.
