A 3-wire switch is very hard to find. Rating stamped on the front 5 A 600v und lab insp. It was made in the USA. and it is patent dated on the back Sept 17. 1912. The white porcelain turn button has an"P" cast into it for PERKINS. I tested the switch with a continuity tester and it tests ok. It works as a 3 wire should. I turned the button quite a few times and the contacts worked every time. It works by twisting the white porcelain knob. My Mom passed away suddenly on October 19th of 2011 and. After a year of selling, this is the last of what was her estate. As much as I wanted to keep things in the family, my brothers have no interest in most items, and my husband and I just don't have the room. My Mom, grandmother, great grandmother and great aunts were all collectors, and I seem to have inherited that gene. They measure approx. 5 1/9" x 3 1/2" These would be perfect for a young boy and girl or new fraternal twins. There is a slight imperfection on the back of one piece, but examining the glazing, it is original to the piece.

Here is a new old stock one! It was made in the USA. patent dated JULY 9. 1907. The black turn button has“Perkins" cast into it. I tested the switch with a continuity tester and it tests ok. It works as a 3 wire should. I turned the button quite a few times and the contacts look brand new and the screws are not used. It works by twisting.
