Vintage Beveled Glass Silvered Switchplate covers - old, craft project?
Set of 3 old vintage mirrored beveled glass switch plate covers with round openings of the double and triple one. Regular on/off switch on the third. The beveled edges are quite perfect on the single and triple and on the double there is one tiny chip on one corner only but the rest if fine. The backside is worn which makes them mirrored but unique vintage electrical supply. Might be nice used for a recycled art project! Here is a single vintage mirrored and beveled glass push button switch plate. It measures 4.5 inches by 2.75 inches. The switch holes are also beveled. The glass is in good condition with just a bit of roughness on the edge of one corner and some loss of mirror coating around the button holes. Screw holes, and outside edge of the the glass. Here is a lot of 2 solid brushed brass. Used double push button switch covers. Each plate measures 4.5 inches by 4.5 inches and is made of 40 gauge brass. I suspect that all of the plates have been used. I cleaned just a corner of one to check the brass(see pic) I cleaned the corner with a bit of paint stripper and polished it with Simichrome polish. I'm sure Brasso would work as well. These are used plates and are painted so expect to find some flaws such as light scratches or blemishes in the brass. Some of the plates also show signs of light green corrosion and some are very dirty. The pictures are to be considered as part of the description.
