Welcome to my listing. You are buying a Turn Switch bakelite twist knob nickel porcelain old antique light single pole Great old single pole 2-wire twist switch with a bakelite"ON/OFF" turn button. It was made in the USA by Perkins. It is patent dated on the bottom SEPT 17 1912. The black turn button has PERKINS name cast into it. I tested the switch with a continuity tester and it tests ok. It works by twisting. You stop when the contacts make contact to keep the circuit complete and twist again to turn it off. It is 2 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/8" deep. A vintage Hubbell 1257-I PresSwitch push-button light switch. This is a 15 amp single pole light switch. With a lighted ivory button that Hubbell calls"Ivorine" It's new old stock, still in the original box, and is in perfect shape. The box shows some wear and some water damage to one end(this did not effect the switch at all, it's perfect) but the box would still display fairly well if that's important to you. It also includes the little cardboard insert advertising the lighted switch. I really like these switches, especially in places like the kitchen or workshop, places where you're likely to be going in or out with your hands full. Antique Vintage Light Switch Bakelite 'Relyon' Single Pole Switch
Here is neat old single-pole switch that was removed from a home that was built in the 1920's. It's made to be mounted directly to a junction box(included) since the round plate is integral. There are a few small hairline cracks in the bakelite cover and some spots of paint. But it does function properly. The ceramic is in good condition. And there is some oxidation on the contacts(see pics) Please check all photos for condition. The cap is solid brass that has aged to a nice warm bronze color. It could be polished to a high shine or left in the condition it is. The switch has small scratches and dents from use. Turned out to be a faulty wire in one of the laundry room outlets.and not one of the antique switches! There are 6 Mother of Pearl push button single pole switches and 4 three-way switches(without Mother of Pearl buttons) One single pole and one three-way switch are cracked on just one side of their porcelain enclosures, as shown in the photos. All 4 of these switches are factory fresh with no issues including there cardboard packages. I had to open one of the sealed packages to take the pictures plus there was another one with it's cellophane ripped. 3 of the switches have a black face. The other has a silver face.
