This old switch says 9602B on the back. The base is porcelain and the top and switch appear to be bakelite. It is 1 15/16" across and 1 1/2" deep counting the toggle. There is a very solid click when flipped. But it has not been tested. Sold AS IS. Please use the zoom feature to check the condition. Early porcelain / ceramic and brass Hubbell toggle switch
Vintage Hubbell toggle switch. Side of brass is marked: 8A 250V 5A 125V Hubbell" also on the other side" und. lab. insp. Underside is marked"Made in U.S.A. but I can't make out the rest. I have 2 in the same very good condition but listing and price is for one. I don't really know how these old switches work but it appears to all be there. Interior has a discolored sort of rust spot where the wires come in. But it's on both so I think it was made that way. The little cutouts where the wires come through the porcelain sides have some small chips in them, not awful just not perfect. If you've got a minute and you know how old this is I'd love to know. Overall piece is in very good condition. But take a good look at the photos as piece is being sold as-is.

Porcelain On/Off Toggle Switch with umglazed box.
This is a porcelain cover with the toggle on/off switch and the unglazed box. No chips or cracks. The porcelain cover is marked P.P. ing. Number 8378. The box is not marked. The cover is about 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches. about 3/8 inch thick. Nice vintage switch and cover. This is a vintage item and may not be perfect. Probably dates to the 1920's period. Other similar porcelain items are listed and I will be glad to combine auctions to save on postage costs.

All have boxes. 6 are Bryant and made of porcelain, 6 are Bryant and made of Bakelite and callled"Silent Mercury switches" 4 are GE Bakelite switches, 2 are H& H bakelite switches, and the last is a single pole Bryant bakelite switch.
