You are bidding on a Set of 2 Vintage Art Deco Victorian Nouveau Crafts Project Brass Push Button Light Switch Covers. Each cover measures 4 1/2" long and 2 3/4" wide. Both covers show age appropriate wear but I do not see any chips. Cracks or breaks on either piece. There are 2 very tiny dings(dents) at the top of one of the plates(see pic# 8) They are old and used so they are not perfect. They could be cleaned but I will leave that to the new owner. Brass switch plants. 6 in all. 5 are made in Italy with GRA on back. 1 of the large ones is made in India J.I.H it says solid brass and# 125x130. All have screws. 2 screws have white paint on them. The plates are old and have wear. Some scratches. One small one looks like maybe it was cleaned. Wrong or something. It looks a little more rough. But still very useable. These are nice pieces. I am selling a pair of light switch covers. 1 outlet cover and a towel bar holder, marked on the back C with SA inside the C, Pat Pend. A magnet did not stick and the finish is brass and paint, so perhaps they are solid brass I am not sure, there is some corrosion or tarnishing on the back of 2. They will need mounting screws I do not have the mounting hardware. There is no bar for the bar holder, or toilet paper holder not sure what it was originally for. Vintage Lot Brass Filigree Light Switch Covers Plate Covers ( Heavy ) NICE!
These are some very old light switch plate covers as you can see. Almost threw these out till I see people actually have interest in this type of stuff. Not sure what they are made of but they are not metal. Not magnetic. Probably brass or some other type of material. the black covers all were in packages but the packages where a bit rough so I took them all out of the packages. Those black covers have some type of either copper looking foil on the backs of them Although the packages they where in were rough the actual covers are in nice condition with the exception of the one that has the foil a little ruffled. These weight 2.4 oz each. a lot for a switch cover. The black covers have 2 sets of screws as well. The lighter colored one has some type of what I would consider a sea shell type reflective look to it or maybe a pearl look to it. ... moreThis one I believe is used as I can see a very little amount of paint along the edges here and there but still in very good condition. That cover weights even more at 3.4 oz. Again. Very heavy for a light switch cover. Very nice pieces to incorate into a house restoration or just a room restoration. I had gotten these in a box at a old farm realastate auction along with a bunch of other odd and ends that was in a lot I had won. everything I swear everything was old there so I can't say for certain just how old all these are but certainly date back a bit. We have here a Vintage Set of 3 Solid Brass Light Switch Cover Plates. They are all solid brass. They are all dirty and need a good scrub. I only wipped off dirt with a damp rag. One is a single switch plate. One is a double switch plate and last is a tripple switch plate. The double switch plate is marked Bryant. The other two have no marks. This is a great set!
