The cap is solid brass that has aged to a nice warm bronze color. It could be polished to a high shine or left in the condition it is. The switch has small scratches and a couple small dents in the brass. It was made in the USA by HUBBELL. The switch looks good inside and tests OK with a meter. Just some dust. I recently purchased a house that was Built in 1930. I found these cover in a box in the house's cellar. I assume that they were removed from the the house when the electrical was updated. I have 7 outlet covers. 3 two way push button light switch covers, and two double push button covers. I have left them in the condition that I found them. I think that they will clean up great, but I think that some buyers like them roachy. Antique Perkins Brass Covers and 2 Push Button Switches - 4-Way (?) Vintage
Three brass Perkins Electric switch covers in good antique condition and two antique push-button light switches. Please look carefully at the photos for the best description of these items. They plates have no dents. But they do have scratches. The two single plates do not rock when placed on a flat surface. The double will wobble just a little when pressed on one corner(less than 1/16" of twist) The large plate has a great patina. But does have some thin deposits in a few places, mainly where the verdigris shows in the pictures. The switches have not been tested with power. One has an"E" on the back and"4w" I don't know if it's a 4-way switch. Both operate fine as far as switching goes. But as I said I've not tested them with electricity. Here is an old brass light switch plate. This is for the old. Push button lights. It measures about 4 1/2" by 2 3/4" The mounting holes are about 2 3/8" on center. This is used. It has scratches and discoloring. There are small spots of corrosion here and there. As well as two larger spots around one of the holes. No mounting screws are included.
