Fantastic Antique Perkins Porcelain & Chrome Snap Turn 4 way LIGHT SWITCH
Very nice estate Perkins 4 wire light switch. It's a spring loaded switch that snaps into the settings of OFF LOW MEDIUM or HIGH. And is a larger switch measuring about 3 1/2" across and 3" out from the wall. This switch is in great condition for the age, with a little bit of wall paint and a few tiny chips to the porcelain. Antique Perkins Brass Covers and 2 Push Button Switches - 4-Way (?) Vintage
Three brass Perkins Electric switch covers in good antique condition and two antique push-button light switches. Please look carefully at the photos for the best description of these items. They plates have no dents. But they do have scratches. The two single plates do not rock when placed on a flat surface. The double will wobble just a little when pressed on one corner(less than 1/16" of twist) The large plate has a great patina. But does have some thin deposits in a few places, mainly where the verdigris shows in the pictures. The switches have not been tested with power. One has an"E" on the back and"4w" I don't know if it's a 4-way switch. Both operate fine as far as switching goes. But as I said I've not tested them with electricity. 4 Antique Porcelain Push Button Mercury switches with covers - 3 brass, 1 steel.
We are offering a lot of 4 antique push button light switches with cover plates. Three are matched- NE" on each button and no. 974" imprinted in the porcelain on the back. One of these has a chip in the porcelain on the side(see 10th photo above. Three of the cover plates are brass. The 4th cover plate is steel and the 4th switch has smaller dimensions. But takes the same cover plate(see last photo above for size difference) That switch has one button with"NE" on it, but the other has a metal top(see 3rd photo above) One side of the smaller switch has corners cut on one side(8th photo) We have absolutely no idea if these work or not. I would urge anyone who wants to use them to have them checked out by someone who knows something about antique switches. I would guess that these date between 1910 and 1930. I have been told ... morethat these are'Mercury' switches, but I do not know. The cover plates each measure about 4 1/2" by 2 7/8" If you have any questions. 4(four) Antique Electrical Wall Outlet Receptacles With Covers Gaynor Mfg. Established in 1886 These 4 antique receptacles come with covers that feature an unusual looking surface coloring. I cant say for certain what the covers are made from but a magnet does not stick to them. And also I did a scratch test on the back of one of them, and found a bright silver colored metal below all that black surface coloring. Anyhow. The covers are in good condition as far as no bends, splits etc to the metal. They do however show wear due to age and use such as surface scratches. The receptacles themselves are in decent shape too. With the exception to one of them having a small crack where in the area where a plug goes into. They are marked Gaynor Mfg. Establish. 1886. There ere are 3 switches marked Perkins and one marked GE. The two single plates are marked Perkins and the double is unmarked. As you can see. The plates are in good used, unpolished condition with surface wear but not bends or heavy scratches. Good as new with a polish if that is the look that you want.
