You are buying a Hubbell toggle snap switch 3 way wire brass black porcelain base antique old Great old single pole toggle switch with solid brass top and a snap switch with a great black porcelain base. This is the first 3 way switch I have found in this style. Notice that it does not say off/on on the front because it is a 3 way switch. The cap is solid brass that has aged to a nice warm bronze color. It could be polished to a high shine or left in the condition it is. The switch has small scratches and great tarnish. It was made in the USA by HUBBELL. The switch looks good inside. The switch tests ok with a voltmeter. It works as it should as a 3 way switch. It has the black marked common screw. It is 2 1/4" in diameter and 2 1/8" tall. A 3-wire switch is very hard to find. Rating stamped on the front 5 A 600v und lab insp. It was made in the USA. and it is patent dated on the back Sept 17. 1912. The white porcelain turn button has an"P" cast into it for PERKINS. I tested the switch with a continuity tester and it tests ok. It works as a 3 wire should. I turned the button quite a few times and the contacts worked every time. It works by twisting the white porcelain knob. One of the 3 toggle brass switch plates weighs 1.07 pounds on my postal scale so this is a heavy lot. The brass items include 2-three toggle plates. 4-two toggle plates, 2-one toggle plates. The black ones include 2-duplex receptacle plates and 1-three toggle plate with eagle. The last one is different from the others and is unmarked as of the maker. There are some screws included as shown and 2 of the envelopes are unopened. The boxes you see are included but most of them do not coincide with the plates. I think 5 of the boxes are correct but you get them all anyway. This is a great lot of vintage unused switch plates from the Wilton Products Inc Co of Wrighsville, Pa. or Penna) as is on the boxes. This company began in ... more1935. The pieces are not all perfect, two of them have a small bit of staining(shown in pic) but they all should clean up pretty good. These are vintage wall plates from old homes. The 2 switch wall plate is in very nice condition with only some very light scratching from use. It has"Made in U.S.A. 040 Thick" on the back. It's brass. Measures 4.5" x 2.75" and weighs 2.56 oz. The brass wall outlet plate has an outlet cover that flips up and down. It measures 4.5" x 2.75" and weighs 2.56 oz. It has a little more scratching and discoloration than the 2 switch plate. The back reads"Harvey Hubbell, Inc. Bridegeport, Conn. The 4 switch wall plate is in very nice condition with minimal scratching and discoloration. There are no marks on the back. It may be brass, but is likely some other metal and the front has been copper dipped or plated. It weighs 3.84 oz. and measures 4.5" x 4.5" Paypal only. We remodeled some of our house(built in 1907) and these were the LAST TWO push button switches in the house. THEY BOTH WORKED PERFECTLY. The cover plates both say Patented Nov 3. 1903.The Perkins Electric Switch MFG Co. Bridgeport, CT. The 2 way switch says Pat Nov 3 03 on the back and the 3 way says Webber Association. 3 Vintage Porcelain& Bakelite 4 Wire Rotary Light Switch Hart& Hegeman Lot 1. Recently Purchased several vintage electrical switches and accessories from a local estate. This person was an electrician many years ago. They appear to be unused. The porcelain bases were lightly cleaned to inspect for any defects. The chrome cover is dirty. All the switches have been tested with a VOM meter and are functioning. I have polished the chrome top on a few I have used with auto chrome polish. They turn out very shiny. If interested please view my other auctions. Here are three working vintage 4 wire rotary porcelain switches. All the porcelain bases are in very good condition with no damage. The chrome covers have a few light scratches. The bakelite handles are in very good condition with the makers logo in the center. The company name is on ... moreeach side. Each switch has one brass screw missing. Some have some light rust on the steel plate on the bottom. They measure about 2-1/8" in diameter X 1-7/8" high.
