Decorative Lap Top Writing Desk Set w/Hand Painted Chickadees
Featured is a hand-painted lap top desk with a brass hinged lid for storage of writing materials. The painted pattern on the lid are two Chickadee's on branches with stems. Buds, leaves, and blossoms. Lap top writing desks like this one date back to the middle of the 19th century as many people traveling by rail in the US used them on their laps to write correspondence to each other. It is in superb condition with no obvious flaws. It is made from layered beach wood with a thin veneer covering the entire unit. Not to be mistaken as plywood. It measures 14 1/2" long X 10" wide X 4 1/4" deep and is wall paperd inside with the original calico paper. Uh lessee where to start with this set. It's very cool I just haven't been able to find out anything about these pieces or if they even go together. Send me info if you know or want to share your thoughts. They are fairly big pieces, very rusted, no glass it's some funky plastic replacement to the windows on the door of the larger round piece. It closes well, pin is in tact. And the finial looks to be tin. Sizes of these pieces are starting with the largest stove with door piece is approx. 11 1/2" in diameter by 9 1/2" tall. The stove top piece with finial is 9" in diameter, 13" tall. The flat piece marked Jackson Novelty Co. is approx. 11" in diameter.Needs some tlc, a fun restoration project or maybe just a rust clean up. Thank you for looking!

This is a nice USED adult outfit from India. I am not sure of the size but I am guessing it is approximately somewhere between a ladies 4 to 6. The cotton dress is a plain red with the trim along the front bottom and has 3/4 sleeves. Dress measures approximately 19 1/2" from arm pit to arm pit so approximately 39" all the way around the same area. Waist area on dress is approximately 36" Measures approximately 39" from top of shoulder to bottom of hem. The top is like a vest that buttons in front and ties along the sides. Since it ties along the sides- outfit can be tightened. The sleeve openings fit 14 1/2" upper arm. Material feels like a lightweight cotton to me. No stretch. The box has a slide top with a hand carved finger notch to use the slide for easy open and close. It appears to be totally hand made. The box measures 5" long by 4" wide by 2 1/2" tall. It is in excellent condition. My mother. Who is now 90 years old, was an avid Americana collector. She purchased this box in Pennsylvania decades ago in Lancaster County. Colorado around the late 1800’s or may be the very early 1900’s. This trunk is clad in metal with wood slats. Decorative embossed gold hardware and canvas straps. The metal banding was used to strengthen them and for decorative design. All the hardware appears to be original. I have not tried to clean it, because some people prefer the original patina. I’ll let you make that decision! Sorry, but, I do not have the key for the lock. The last picture shows the ... moreunderneath(bottom) Three(3) of the four(4) steel casters are still attached. Considering its age. I would say it’s in very nice condition. This trunk was used for its intended purpose. Note the stickers on the side. I’ll let the pictures do my description for you. You can see that the side leather handles are missing or torn. Also, one of the front canvas straps(right side in pictures) is torn in half, but, it’s still intact. The inside does have some spots, but, there is no odor. It’s rare to find the inside tray, but, it’s all complete. The next to the last picture shows a dent on the front top metal band. Very well made cushion. Wood base with circular dowel pin that holds the wood base to the top wood part that the cushion is fastened to. The wood appears to be pine. I see no makers mark on the piece. There are some very interesting hat pins included here as well. The large orange and green ones have glass tops. Same with the two smaller ones with the orange and clear heads. Then there are three pins that have very decorative gold colored shafts that have salamanders or lizards on the end of them. Gold colored or gold. Not sure, but not much weight to them(See pics 6 and 7) Lots of the tall and shorter black ones that seem to have like a glass head as well. ... moreAlso 3 heads on pins that appear to be pearl. This is a pretty light green glass canister. It has a wood top that fits tight with a gasket. This glass canister measures about 11 1/4" tall. The base is about 3.5" wide and the opening at the top is about 3 1/4" wide. This canister has a pretty raised design on it. It runs up the sides. Across the wide part of the top of the canister, and in each corner at the bottom. The panels in the middle are plain glass. The two oval shapes in the middle glass are reflections, or something. They are not on the canister. Much nicer then the photo shows. This canister is used but in great condition. I see no chips or cracks. The wood top has two small indented lines. This superb antique Bohemian Art Glass vase has real presence. The green glass is heavily gilded then enameled with a scalloped loop pattern at the top and bottom. The middle part of the vase is hand painted with a grape& leaf pattern. The green glass outlined in gold for the leaves. The gracefully cut top edge is a wonderful finishing touch. Though the vase is only 7 1/4" tall it has the feeling of a much larger vase. Probably Bohemian Glass from the early 1900's? This auction is for three(3) antique steeple-top door hinges. I don’t know when they were made. But they were previously in a house that was built in 1924. I don’t know for certain if they were original to the house. But they definitely look like they could be. The hinges are about 6 inches long including the steeples. i have no idea what kind of.Amplifier,whatever this is,its got some dials on the front, its got a couple of holes where you put those ends of the cords, its got a nice front with musical notes, so maybe its not a amp at all. i would plug it in and see what would happen but the cord is brittle. its got a metal handle on top to carry it. its got a roll top that goes up and down. its got a lot of stuff, but i still can't figure out what it does. i put it down in the listing as a power amp,because there is a cord that goes into the electrical socket. the unit is wood. maybe its some kind of vintage amplifier.i am putting it down for $500 don't like my price, no problem make an offer. it also has this cord that goes to this red button on one end and it has those metal things that go into an amplifier or your guitar at the other end. and ... moreit has these two holes for those things you plug into your guitar.
