Lot of 9 Vintage Drawer Pulls Knobs Cabinet Door Pulls Knobs I’m still listing some items from last week’s estate sale and auction. And I had wonderful luck at this weekend’s flea market- some really really unique items, you don’t want to miss! Be sure to check back- I have looooots of old hardware to post this week- almost all my lots in sets. What I have here is a vintage lot of 9 drawer/door knobs or pulls. They are made of either tin or steel- a magnet sticks to them(I'm guessing tin- as they are fairly light) And have a shabby worn dark silver patina. I don't think the silver was their original patina- I see what looks like either a brass or bronze finish under the silver- it's hard to tell, so please supersize and see what you think(the photos of the backs of the pulls show the brown color the best, there's more silver ... moreon the front, but you see plenty of coppery-brown color there too) I love the worn patina, and the accent of the silver agains the coppery-brown that I see, but you could easily refinish these too. Each pull measures 2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. They have a single screw hole in the back- 4 have newer screws in them- if I measure from the front of the pull, to the head of the screw- they are 1" deep. The screw holes for the knobs are 3/16" diameter- measuring inside wall to inside wall. They are all in excellent solid and sturdy condition, with the finish wear noted above, and could use a little cleaning. This is a lovely set- sorry, I dug and dug through the box, but could not find a 10th- I just have 9! Please ask if you have any questions. Offered is a scarce survivor. A 1936 catalog from Sargent and Company of New Haven, Connecticut of all the products offered that year. The pages are numbered up to 594, but there are many smaller A, B, C, D, etc. pages included so the total number of pages is much more than that number. The book is in good condition for its age. There is wear to the cloth cover and the corners are soft. I discovered one page has an old cellophane tape repair. There are a couple of wrinkled pages, and the title page has an owner's ink stamped name and address and some minor edge tears. The binding is good and holding together. I fanned through the book and couldn't find any more repaired pages, but there might be one here and there. Also might be a slight edge tear here or there, but again I couldn't spot anything obvious. The brass has not been polished and has it's original, beautifully aged petina. Each pair is about 6 1/4" long end to end with the stem. These came out of an old farm house and would make a stunning addition to anyone's home. Antique Crystal Art Deco Glass Door Knobs
Vintage Crystal Door Knobs. These are the bigger bolder variety of Knobs made in this era. Four of the sets are a perfect match. These four sets are very clean with only two miniscule nicks being found and mention for complete accuracy. The other two sets are similar but slightly more oblong in shape. There is a bit of scuffing on one of the knobs in this set. The other knob has just one tiny scuff. Mentioned for accuracy, but really ultra minor. On the other oblong set. One knob has a bruise with a small chip. The other knob has a slight amount of edge scuffing and bit of a rough edge. The faces of all the knobs are clean. One knob is missing its setting screw. And another knob has a tiny bit of wiggle in its setting/shank. All told this is a lovely grouping. In very good overall condition.

Larger knob Made by Russell and Erwin MFG Co We are pleased to offer this Lot of 5 Antique 19th Century Bronze Doorknobs. All are ornate c. 1870. Two Lion Head and one ornate Bronze are from Russell& Erwin and the other two lion heads unmarked, made by another quality hardware firm of the day. These knobs are from the golden age of hardware, when quality hardware was manufactured to last and has. This lot is perfect for the collector or restorer and we are now seeing where furniture remakers and talented artists are making coat and clothing racks using these beautiful knobs. After the Civil War, door hardware changed radically. Some early design patents for decorated hardware were for coffin handles, but it didn't take long for decoration to spread to ... moredoor hardware. By 1869, design patents for hinges, escutcheons, and an outside door latch were granted. The fervor for decorative door hardware was soon heightened by a new casting technique that introduced molten bronze into a mold under pressure, producing castings of exceptional detail. This process was spearheaded by Russell& Erwin Manufacturing Company of New Britain, Connecticut(R&E) which turned out a host of popular designs, the most famous being the"doggie" knob. Notable condition disclosures One of the ornate Victorian door plates has been repaired with an automotive grade epoxy. It's amazingly strong and the repair is invisible from the front. Penn Antique Restoration. 36"x80.5" Vintage Pine Storm Door w/ 4 Windows. 1 Panel, Hardware. Rare. Vintage, exterior door salvaged from Northeastern New Jersey. The door is made of solid White Pine and features a removable window panel with 2 Plexiglass lites and 2 flat glass lites. At the bottom of the door, there is 1 horizontal, raised panel. The glass is secured in place by glazier's putty, and the putty is still strong and in good shape. Hardware: The door comes fully equipped with hardware: 1 brass knob. 1 brass lever, 2 brass escutcheons(plates) 1 steel mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1 brass pull/handle, and 3 brass-plated, butt hinges. Condition: The door is strong. Sturdy, and in good overall condition. It has break in the lower, hinge stile corner on the exterior side and slight break in upper corner of window ... morepanel. Otherwise, there are only scrapes, scratches, and nail holes, which would be removed by sanding and/or filled with putty during the preparation phase prior to staining and finishing, or concealed once painted. Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish. Repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work.
