The finial of the lid is carved as a small recumbent dragon/bixie. The vase body has two stylish elephant head handles with moving rings. The carving is so details all the way to the bottom that was engraved with sea wave in curls. This piece is similar to one item I have seen in Metropolitan museum in New York. Condition: Very well made quality item with extremely good craftmanship done everything in the whole jade stone. Very nice early Chinese vase. Vase measures ~11-5/8" tall. It was drilled at some point in its life for a lamp. There is a hairline crack on the rim which measures ~2" in length. There is a makers mark at the botton which is partially drilled out for the lamp wire. The vase has wonderful colors and very crisp design. I am not an expert on Chinese porcelain so please ask questions.

A very beautiful antique Chinese hand painted brush pot or vase. It is of hexagonal form. Painted in inky blue& white with a continuous river landscape scene. It measures 11.5 cm's. Which is 4.5 inches in height& is 8.5 cm's in width across the top, which is a little under 3.5 inches. It weighs approximately 700 grams. I have no doubt that this is a very old piece of Chinese porcelain. Though I am unsure as to what century it dates to, possibly 19th century at least, though it may well be older. 17th/18th CENTURY CHINESE BRONZE& CHAMPLEVE HEXAGONAL TAPERING VASE You are being offered a Very Old Chinese Bronze or possibly Brass Hexagonal or Six-Sided Tapering Vase with a Cylindrical Shaped Top Rim and Base and it is decorated with alternating Panels of Floral Scrolls and Diaper Patterns executed with Polychrome Enamels in the Champlevé Technique while the remainder of the Outside Surface is Gilded. It also appears the Enamel Filled Hollows were created by Hammering or Reverse Repousse and Chasing. And while the Inside of the Mouth and Neck are Gilded, the Interior of the Body appears to have several Metal Patches along with a Grey Coating of an Unknown Substance. The Vase is not signed and it doesn’t have any identifying marks; but we believe it is Very Old and may have been made as early as the 17th or 18th Century or possibly ... moreeven before then. The Vase stands 13¼ inches high and measures almost 8½ inches across at its widest point and a little more than 3½ inches across at its narrowest point and its Mouth measures almost 5¼ inches in diameter and its Base measures almost 5¾ inches in diameter. Aside from a considerable amount of Enamel pitting and separations, which are a Normal Characteristics of Old Champlevé, much of the Gilding has deteriorated and worn off and there are remnants of Solder on its Shoulder where Loose Ring Handles were once attached. Stunning Antique 18th Century Kangxi Period Blue & White Jar Vase No Reserve
Up for auction is an incredible jar from the Kangxi period. It has only a few small"pore like" imperfections that I can't even get my camera to focus on. These were likely made during production. It is decorated in a beautiful under glaze blue motif with what appears to be 2 dragons and possibly 2 dogwood flowers. Below the rim there are 2 rows of decoration as well and a row on the bottom of the piece. The bottom is marked with 2 blue rings. In the middle of the mark is a commonly seen imperfection. Showing the age of the piece. The foot rim is obviously hand applied and unglazed, yet smooth to the touch. You can see the rings on the inside of the jar, showing that it's hand made.
