This outstanding large antique Chinese porcelain Famille Rose/Verte jar and cover is beautifully decorated with a scene of dignitaries in front of an altar with attendants on either side holding banners. The other side of the jar is decorated with dignitaries around an altar with the sun shining through and an attendant on the left of the altar holding a large fan. The quality of the rich enamel decoration is outstanding. There is also a lustrous sheen to this large jar and cover when it catches the light. Either side of the jar is decorated with large bold open peonies surrounded by floral sprays and meandering trailing foliage. Around the top shoulder is a beautiful Famille Rose band with floral and diamond decoration also present. The jar is in excellent original condition with only one small 1 cm tight old hairline. This attractive vase has attractive decorations of two boys in the ground of red flowers with green leaves and stylized vine patterns. Amazing details were created with enormous skills. It is measured at about 6 7/16 inch tall and 7 inch at its widest. It is about 4 1/8 inch in diameter at the bottom. It is in EXCELLENT condition. Two manufacture flaws at the upper rim. One very small shallow flake at the opening rim as you can see from our picture. Old tight glaze crazes within the bottom rim. There is a four character red Yongzheng reign mark within the double underglaze blue circle on the bottom(1722-1735AD) STAND IS NOT INCLUDED! For Sale is an Antique Chinese Porcelain Ginger Jar and Lid Dating from around 1900. This Jar has a diameter of 4.5 inches and stands 4.5 inches tall. Beautifully Hand Decorated in Famille Verte Colours and Depicting a Known Warriors Pattern. There is a Warrior Tent Motif on the Lid and 2 Bronzed Bands in Light Relief. The Colours have been enamelled onto the body and the Glaze is Fine Crackled Eggshell. The Piece is Very Clearly Signed With a 4 Character Mark which has been Inscribed onto the wet clay with a Chopstick. This Piece is being sold in First Class condition with no chips.
