This auction ends the evening of Wednesday Feb 27th Up for auction is a Very Fine Chinese Claire De Lune Blue Glazed Lidded Vase. The Vase is finely hand carved throughout with fine lotus designs. The Vase has a beautiful and perfectly consistent light blue Claire De Lune Glaze throughout. The Vase is signed on the base and I believe would conservatively date from the 19th century. The Vase also has finely carved and formed rim to both the base and original lid. The Vase also has an old collection label to the base along with remnants of a red seal mark. The Vase shows some light wear throughout. But is overall in very fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Vase is a nice large size example and displays beautifully measuring 11 inches tall by just under 7 inches across the body. The Vase are finely decorated throughout with nice Prunus Tree designs on a rich cobalt blue background. The Vase also have a nice period meiping vase form. The Vases show some light wear and some small glaze imperfections commonly found on examples of the period. But overall the vases are in fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just the one vase shows two tiny base foot rim frets. The Vases are nice full size examples measuring 10 inches tall by 4-1/2 inches wide across the bodies. The carving came from the estate with its original antique wood stand that is also finely carved and presents the carving very nicely. The carving is in fine condition with no damage. The carving displays beautifully measuring 2 5/8 inches wide. By 1 1/4 inches thick, and stands 2 3/4 inches tall by itself and 3 1/2 inches tall including the stand.
