I have been told the vase dates to the Kangxi period and was used as a ceremonial piece on a temple altar and was probably part of a garniture. The vase has a beautiful look with a thickly enameled deep monochrome blue color, the top half having a wonderfully curving meiping shape, the base with an extraordinarily unusual large and wide raised flat foot, the top with a small neck and opening, the underside has a white glaze. The vase sits on a carved hardwood two tier stand with open scrolling feet underneath and a carved wood bead and diamond form edge above. The vase measures about 9 3/4 inches (24.8cm) high and is approximately 6 inches (15.2cm) wide.

A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Vase and Cover, the base with a four-character Kangxi mark in underglaze-blue. 2nd half 19th Century. The colour of the underglaze-blue on the cover is very similar to that on the vase but the painting on the cover is somewhat sharper. So the cover may possibly be a replacement. Up for auction is a wonderful antique Chinese blue and white porcelain v ase from Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. The vase is made in classical bluster shape and decorated with floral with underglaze blue. This is a representative work of Kangxi Period. It has a matching cover. Which is antique but not original. It was acquired at an auction in NY. Dimensions: it measures 14.5 inch(36.8 cm) high without the cover. Or 18.25 inch(46.4 cm) with the cover, and 9.5 inch wide. For your consideration I'd call it a Celadon green Jade and Carved into a Vase Cover. Dragon winds around the top w/ 3 Ring Handles This is a piece of Jade I've had for years. Loved it as fine Asian Art. Doesn't have the holes for a s ensor. Would be a very nice cover for a Jade vase. I've run the normal test on it and you can't scratch it with a pin or finger nail. To hard for that. I see when it's photographed the creature that is the handle on top is a dragon. It's decorated and has 3 leafs around the top and under each is a small ring. The rings are fully free of the stone. And pretty amazing as hard as Jade is. I have not taken it as yet to a Jeweler to find out what type of Jade it is. Up for auction is a wonderfule antique Chinese blue and white vase or jar with matching cover. The vase is well decorated with water and building scene with very simple glaze blue lines. It comes with matching wood cover. From a private collector in UK. Age: 18 th Century Condition: good. foot rim got tiny chips; there is a presure line on the bottom and a short line presure line(~1 cm) on the body. All the lines are underglaze. There are a couple of presure lines on the inner side; they did not extend to the outside. The cover is well carved and in perfect condition.
