The base with a grey matt crackle glaze finish, and a nicely finished unglazed foot rim. Size; 6. 3/4 inches high( 17 cms) Condition; fine. Re-glued chip to top rim, no other damage or repairs. An exceptionally fine and large antique Chinese porcelain flambe vase. The coloring and fineness of potting makes this the finest example of its kind I've seen. The vase was mounted as a lamp in the early 20th century. And has a cleanly drilled hole on the underside. Otherwise the vase is perfect, with absolutely no chips, cracks or restoration. EARLY CHINESE FLAMBE JUNYAO GLAZED NARCISSUS TRIPOD CEREMONIAL BOWL
For your consideration is this Early Chinese Flambe Junyao Glazed Narcissus Tripod Ceremonial Bowl. The bowl measures approximately 8 1/2" by 8 1/4" and 3 1/8" tall. In my opinion from researching this bowl it appears to be from the Song Dynasty period(960-1127) The Glaze is a beautiful Light blue and Aqua in color with brown/red/purple accents. You can see the beautiful carved design outlined on the three lingzhi shaped feet. The craftsmanship and artistry done on this piece is truly amazing. CONDITION: On the inside of this antique piece there is some age related crazing/lines only in the glaze. Also. If you look very closely at the whole bowl there is some minor age crazing in the glaze. There is ONE flake located right below the beautifully carved rim on the inside of the bowl. On the high points of the scalloped carved ... morerim, 3 of the them have a tiny bit of wear(no chips) Three of the high points on the scalloped carved rim occurred during the making of the piece, they were not perfectly formed and the glaze was applied. So even though they are not perfectly rounded at the point, they have glaze over them, indicating that it is original to the piece and not a chip or damage. As stated there is only one chip/flake on the bowl. There are two faint lines on the bottom of the piece, that may indicate that a few of the crazing lines could go deeper than only in the glaze. You can also see a few kilning imperfections near the feet as well. Overall, for the age of this piece it is sound with no restorations or major damage. I was told by the estate the vase is an inherited piece which has been in the family for a good number of years and that they believe the vase to be a Qianlong mark& period example, which I personally believe to be a correct dating as well. However I have not handled another example like this so to be safe for the auction I am going to sell it as possibly being a later example and will let you ultimately decide for yourself and bid accordingly. This auction is for a large and very heavy Chinese porcelain vase dating to the 19th or early 20th century. The form of this piece is quite unusual and the color of the glaze is absolutely stunning as can be seen in the photos. The vase has bulbous form with the top curved and a short skinny neck. The vase has glaze displaying incredible color. The vase stands 12.25 inches tall and measures 7.25 inches across the body. The foot rim displays a smooth white paste and is of excellent quality. Large Antique Chinese Porcelain Monochrome Export Flambe Neoclassical Vase Art
This is a very unique piece which came for a local estate. The previous owners were Asian and collected several antiques in their time. This piece stand 7.5" tall and about 5" in diameter. This is a neoclassical design which represents a period between 1660 and 1800. I believe this piece is porcelain. It has a higher ring to it when thumped in comparison to art pottery from the United States. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a small area on the top of base that is lacking glaze and six tiny glaze pops on the bottom. This piece is heavy for it's size. Here's what is weird about this piece. Indoors and even outdoor without direct sunlight this piece appears as a smokey to mirror black color. With the flash of the camera or direct sunlight the flambe color can be seen. The Vase is a fine and rarely seen authentic Kangxi period example. The Vase has a beautiful and vibrant powder blue glaze throughout. The Vases top rim has been ground down. The vase is otherwise in fine condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Vase came from the estate on this very finely carved hardwood display stand which compliments the vase very nicely, and which will be included with it. I have seen similar stands of this very fine quality bring some good amounts just on their own so it is a very nice bonus addition to the vase. The Vase displays beautifully measuring 4 1/2 inches wide, by 8 inches tall by itself, and 9 1/4 inches tall including the stand. I have a beautiful vintage Chinese flambe vase. Its large and has very nice color. Its in good condition with no damage. I do not know its exact age but I believe it is from early to mid 20th century however it may be older than this. Its a great piece for any collector of Chinese Art or early 20th century pottery.

ANTIQUE CHINESE QING DYNASTY ROBIN'S EGG/ POWDER BLUE FLAMBE GLAZE JAR or VASE We proudly present for auction this beautiful Chinese porcelain vase. With a gorgeously mottled"Robin's Egg" blue glaze. This exquisite antique find comes fresh from an absolutely outstanding upstate New York estate collection. It dates to the mid 18th Century era(Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, circa 1740-1760 or thereabouts) and comes from a non-smoking household. Like all of our auctions, the vase is being offered here with a low opening bid and no reserve price. This vase comes from one of the most amazing estate auctions that I have ever had the priviledge of attending. It is skillfully potted. With an a subtle flambe effect to the exterior glaze near the foot, and an interior sporting an elegant"Ge Type" crackle effect glae. The ... morerobin's egg blue of the glaze is a slightly darker shade than is commonly seen on other robin's egg glazed wares of the mid 18th Century, rather akin to"Powder Blue" in certain respects, and the aubergine-hued flambe stripe near the foot is simply beautiful. Please be aware, however, that the color of the vase is somewhat darker than it appears in most of the photos: no matter what lighting I used to photograph this vase, the photos tended to show the vase noticeably lighter-and slightly bluer- than it actually is in real life. In real life the vase is a vey deep slate blue, with richer blue and purplish mottling. This vase is in excellent condition. With the only flaw being the faintest bit of light surface wear- which is truly remarkable, considering that I found it packed away in a the attic of a 200+ year old barn, in box filled with wood shavings, wrapped in pages of a 1940s newpaper. The vase has a nice flambe glaze with the cream colored rim blending into a red glaze on the sides. The vase measures 14 inches height or about 35.5 centimeters and is in generally excellent condition. The vase was drilled as a lamp at one point in time. There is a chip to the unglazed foot rim, a few glaze frits to the rim, and there are two tiny white spots in the glaze along with a pinhole firing flaw on the side with a 1 inch long white skip in the red blending into a darker red color below, extending down the vase, please review the photos and please note that any other white spots and/or dark shadows are glare from the photography. Antique Marked Chinese Monochrome Flambe Drip Glaze Ceramic Vase 11+" REPAIRED
This listing is for a very old. Large, and extremely heavy, 11.1" tall, thrown ceramic vase with two applied handles and a blue-green flambe drip glaze. It is signed on the base with an incised, underglaze, vertical three(or four? character(reign? mark- which I do not know. One handle is glued, and there is a large(unpainted- but very high quality and sound) repair to the rim, as well as a small tight hairline opposite the repair, and a small chip to the base. This vase is extremely heavy(weighing over 9 pounds- prior to packaging) and seems to be made of something between stoneware and porcelain- the material is white, and very hard. Both the interior and exterior of the vase show fine glaze crazing. there is a convex rough gray kiln"kiss" by the repaired handle, and the exterior of the vase has shallow wear and scratching. ... moreWhen viewed on the interior, it is apparent that this vase was fired several times, with the blue-green glaze covering the top third- ending where the neck narrows, and white under-glaze extending beyond the blue-green glaze about another third of the way. Beautifully crafted in the 1950’s. This Sang de Boeuf vase bears the trademark of Jingdezhen Zhi on the bottom. Rather than the fat thick unglazed Base Rim of the c.1800's[Early 19th C] I believe this points to an earlier age of the 18th Century. I believe that the purple may have been made from heating the Copper of the red to its further higher temperature colour at this point. I was very tempted to keep the Small Wood stand which has been hand carved to a fine intricate design. This alone I know I used to pay up to a £100 for. Antique Chinese Oxblood Flambe Jar Large& Gorgeous! This is an antique Chinese porcelain jar with oxblood flambe glaze with a wooden lid. The jar or urn measures 13 ½” high not counting the lid and 14 ½” with the lid on and weighs 8.7 pound before packing. It has sort of meiping shape being the neck wider and unglazed that is cover with an old textile to fit the wooden lid. The jar is monochrome oxblood being the lower section a bit darker. When exposed to sunlight or with the flash the color is bright red. The jar is in good condition with some light crazing and a tight firing crack that seems manufactory related on the top unglazed rim. It also presents some glaze pop-outs or fritting and some scratches. Also. On the shoulder bordering the unglazed rim shows small areas of opaque glaze. Up for sale is a pair of fine quality antique 19th century Chinese ox blood flambe vases. The vases have a rich ox blood red crackled surface. At the edges. The red color turns into a purplish hue that typifies the flambe glaze. The vases are of a large size at almost 17in in height and heavily potted. They are well made in an unusual hexagonal shape. Condition: Both vases have clean drill holes on the bottom and some roughness along the bottom rims that is very typical of antique ox blood ware. 21" RARE 20th Century CHINESE Flambe Statue PORCELAIN Buddha
This is a 21 inch statue. It is probably late Qing or early republic period or first half of the 20th century. Look at the beautiful flambe glaze. It is a truly exceptional piece. Expect damage. Note chip to bottom of robe and rim of base. Also. Note firing crack. Expect wear from age and use. See pictures for details on condition. Expect wear from use.
