Decorated with famile verte enamels, it has sophisticated greek keys, cloud, diaper, scrolling foliage patterns from top open rim to the shoulder. The rich colorful enamels that apply on this vase is outstanding in the Famille Verte peers. The main scene of this vase depicts eight immortals with children. It measures 13" in height and 8" approximately in diameter at the shoulder 6" at the base and 4" at the opening without the lid. This is a really HEAVY and substantial vase. This type of glaze typically dates to the late 18th to early 19th century but I would safely date this to the 19th century. There is an old staple repair to the lid(actually it's amazing it has it's original lid! there are two old staples. Otherwise it is in really good condition. The decoration is just wonderful and really detailed. On back side there are what appear to be Chinese characters hand-painted in black that we cannot translate. Possibly a poem. In addition to the(probably) rubber stamped 19th century mark on the bottom of vase there are 2 other marks to bottom left and right of"poem" Additional artwork appears at top and bottom of vase. Dimensions: 12" tall. Top of vase 4.25" in diameter. Bottom of vase 3.25" in diameter Condition: Despite it's age. The vase is in good condition. There are some maker's blemishes, like tiny pockmarks you can feel to the touch. Around the top the gold is missing in a few places, very minor. Welcome to Lan’tiques Here is a wonderful famille verte vase. The vessel is quite unique. Appearing oval or egg shaped. It is quite old, but unmarked. It is hand painted with the primary color being green. The pure white ground is filled with coins(prosperity) and other Chinese characters. One of these is the Double Joy character, usually used for a Wedding Symbol. A large panel depicts a scholar and his young student in a peaceful garden. The other panel has an old man with a young man(perhaps the student in later years going off into the world) It may be symbolic of raising a son. This is 15 inches tall and 8 inches across at widest points of porcelain, and there some age wear rubbing but over all in great condition for the age. Here is a beautiful Chinese Famille Verte vase measuring 9& 3/4 inches high. I’m not sure if this vase is a period Kangxi vase or from the 1800s. In any case it is absolutely antique dating over 100 years old. It is entirely hand painted with a very delicate touch and good hand with overglaze enamels depicting birds and butterflies with several reserves. It has a Kangxi mark on the base in hand painted enameled black. With fields decorated in famille verte colours, with flower baskets in the largest fields. It is about 13 1/4 inches tall. Or 33.7 cm. About 3 kg in weight(heavy piece) Marked with underglaze blue Kangxi double circles on the base. In our opinion this is a Kangxi revival example. Circa 1880-1910 ish, and it has the undercut overhanging foot rim consistent with that period. Very good condition. Rare Antique Chinese Qing Kangxi Wucai Famille Verte Porcelain 6 Side Vase. Large. Unusual six sided porcelain vase in famille verte decoration. Each side of the vase with different scene going from landscape to seasonal flower garden to collections of precious objects. Unglazed base. Quite an achievement to make this hexagonal shape! ANTIQUE CHINESE PORCELAIN FAMILLE VERTE VASE Qing Dynasty. Kangxi Period(1661-1722) Magnificent Chinese Famille Verte vase of exceedingly rare form. Featuring hand thrown porcelain with a wide inward rolling throat banded round with elegant raised detail at the shoulder. Hand painted enamels depict boys playing and dancing around the circumference. All clad in colorful traditional silken attire and holding a variety of well detailed accoutrements. Very lively and well decorated. Bold, vibrant, and tasteful in the traditional Chinese aesthetic. See photos for all the superb detail. The vase measures approximately 8 1/2" high and 6" wide, and is in excellent antique condition except for some loss to the green enamel, no chips or cracks.
