The Vase is a very rare and authentic 17th century Kangxi mark and period example. The Porcelain Vase is finely ... morecarved with nice lotus designs. The vase has been drilled and cut down made into a lamp which was most likely done some time in the earlier to mid 1900s period. However for its rarity I believe the vase should still be a desirable find. And if nothing else is a very fine period study piece, or decor lamp. The vase itself presently measures 7 3/4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. And the lamp measures in total 18 1/2 inches including the shade hardware. A fine and unique piece. The Plate has a nice Kangxi period design with central lotus landscape, and is ornately decorated to the outer rim. The Plate is very thinly potted of a pure white highly translucent porcelain and also has nice molded porcelain designs to the outer rim, exactly what one should find on a legitimate period example like this. The Plate has some small glaze frets/ chips to the outer rim very commonly found on Kangxi examples. The Plate is otherwise in fine original condition with no cracks, or repairs. The Jar is finely decorated throughout with a unique Kangxi prunus with cracked ice design. The blue color is vibrant and rich throughout the jar. The jar also has its original lid. Which is a nice rare find. The lid has a light hairline, but the jar itself is in very fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Jar displays very nicely measuring 5 3/8 inches tall, b y 4 1/4 inches wide. The Pot is an interesting and very unique example. The Cup itself is a fine and authentic 17th century Kangxi period piece. Which has then been made into a Scholars water pot most likely some time in the 18th or 19th century. The pot shows some wear and has a light hairline to the front, which is most likely why it was made into this pot. The pot is otherwise in good condition. The Water Pot measures 2 1/8 inches wide, by 1 1/8 inches deep, and 2 inches tall. The Pot came from the estate in this fine silk lined presentation box that will be included with it. Up for auction is a Rare Large 17thc Chinese Imperial Yellow Glazed Dragon Vase. The Vase is a fine any authentic 17th century. Late Ming to early ... moreQing dynasty example. The Vase has a nice period bottle form. The Vase has a rich and vibrant imperial yellow glaze, along with famille verte and aubergine glaze designs. As you can see there is an orange line to the vase body. At first I thought this to be on old repair but upon close inspection and also studying the line under UV black light it appears to be an original imperfection to the glaze that could be restored if one desired. The vase is otherwise in fine condition with no chips, cracks, or other imperfections. The Vase is a large size period example and is an impressive display piece measuring 8 3/4 inches wide, by 17 inches tall. I have been told similar examples to this have sold in the 20-30,000 dollar range when offered at the higher end sales. So although the vase does have the side glaze imperfection I believe it should still be a very desirable find and something that is not seen often. The dish has a great period design with imperial dragon surrounding the interior and exterior of the dish. The dish has a vibrant imperial yellow glaze throughout. Upon close inspection I did find a repaired chip to the outer rim. The dish is otherwise in fine original condition with no other damage. I have been told comparable examples to this have sold for substantial amounts and in some cases into the ten’ s of thousands. So I believe this dish should still be a very desirable find. The dish displays beautifully measuring 9 3/8 inches wide. By 2 1/8 inches tall. I believe the opportunity to purchase such a rarely found and authentic Kangxi period example does not arise often. The dish is an incredible and very rarely seen Kangxi mark& period example. This dish is amazingly and extremely well potted of incredibly thin highly translucent eggshell porcelain. When put up to daylight or any light at all you can easily see right through this dish. This eggshell technic was perfected during the end of the Kangxi to Yongzheng reign. So this would indicate this dish was most likely produced between 1715-20 when many of the finest quality Kangxi imperial porcelain examples were produced going into the Yongzheng reign. Unfortunately the dish does have a light 1 1/2 inch hairline to the rim that can only be noticed upon very close inspection. For its extreme rarity I believe this dish should still be a very desirable find. The dish is otherwise in very fine
