He was so successful in this business that allowed him to pursue his likes and turned over the business to his son. He was also successful in Astronomy having made many devices that is used both in stellar identification and photography and is credited for having the first image of a Nova Explosion. He has Public works( Tile Murals) on display in Los angeles area. One a large panel much like the Picasso tile( Mosaic Mural) panel next to First NAtional Bank of Chicago in downtown, at Norwalk Library in Norwalk, California and other similar works on display at the same location. Also similar work done in association with Paul Revere( The Famous Black Architect) on Bank of America Building In San Diego California and Bank of America Building in Van Nuys California. He has worked on many famous theaters including one on Sunset Blvd. In Beverly Hill/ Los Angeles California( don't remember the theater name) I am sure if you look you will find mounds of additional information about him and his Works. Stunning Vintage Leaded glass window from an old house in Detroit! The glass is set against a mirror and comes with a custom-built frame around it. The window can be hung on a wall for decoration or you can use it as a real window as well. I originally paid $3.600 for the window and custom frame. But I'm selling it for quite a bargain, as I had to move and it doesn't fit in my new home. The window measurements are as follows: 1. OVERALL INCLUDING FRAME: 46” WIDE X 4” DEEP X 61” HIGH 2. His body is made of silver metal and the metal extends over the wings. Making a striking design against the glass. The top of the antenna and where the“eyes” would be are clear cabochon stones, and a medium-weight link chain is attached to the top. This butterfly hanging is in overall good condition; however the lower left wing section has a crack running through it. The glass does not seem to be loose and the metal design on the wing actually helps hide the crack; I have included a photo of it. It’s really not noticeable unless you are looking for it(the metal design on the glass is what catches your eye) But I wanted to make bidders aware of it. Vintage Stained Leaded Glass Pink Tulip inside Heart This is a artisan-made. Heart-shaped leaded stained glass piece; the leading is heavy with a nice patina. I took a photo of each side of this work because the colors are actually different on each side. Photo# 1 show what I refer to as the“rainbow” side-the background glass has an iridescent glow to it and shows a blend of lime green, peach, pink and lavender; the tulip itself is pretty much the same on both sides. The other side of this heart shows a more snow-white background with some light gray streaks running through the white; the border color on both sides is a deep ruby red. The work is really outstanding on this heart and tulip and I have no idea how they got the background to look different on each side. This piece is in Very Good Condition. The design is such that the window can be used vertically or horizontally and would enhance many architectural styles or decorator themes. Vintage Pepsi Cola Leaded Glass Night Light
One of the"cute things" I picked up somewhere. I have no idea what its story is. The little Night lite part is made in America. It looks like it is from the 1950's or 1960's, I think after that, things like this were made in Japan or Hong Kong. Disassembled front View: This shows the glass part removed from the night light. The glass is an opaque milkglass. The"Pepsi Cola" Logo is painted on the glass, as you can see, some of the lettering has flaked off. Looks easy enough to touch it up, but I will leave that for the new owner. Maybe restoring it is not the right thing to do? Disassembled Rear View: Small brass collar secures the glass part to the light part. The glass part measures 3 1/2 inches wide. Assembled view: Here the unit is put together. Vintage West German Leaded Crystal Heavy Glass Decanter. 1960s era This really beautiful lead crystal decanter with a magnificent(and very heavy! stopper belonged to my grandfather. I'm told he acquired it sometime in the early 60s. It has been safely packed away since the 80s. But I am downsizing now, and am committed to re-distributing some of those long-stored family things which are no longer being used. This vintage decanter is absolutely gorgeous. There are no chips. Cracks or compromises of any kind. It is sparkling clear and unblemished. It measures 11" tall with its stopper in place(about 8-1/2" without) And 7-1/2" across the base. The stopper alone weighs in at 10.5 ounces. So it's obviously solid. All together this pretty weighs about 4-1/2 lbs! There is a cherub in the center at the top and two trumpeting angels at the bottom. There are 4 glass flowers at the corners of each of the frames. The bottom right one does have a crack. There are cardboard backs that slide in to secure the picture. The size of the cardboard. Which would be the size of the picture, is 3” wide x 4” high. This has the prettiest colors on the head- the glass is striped two/tone blue/green. In the photo it's darker because it's up against a white background and so light coming through. Measures 2.5 inches across and 3 inches high. This appears to be handmade- not perfect. Some flaws- loose panes(no danger of them falling out though) uneven soldering(I guess that's how they did it! The bright colored glass is shades of mauve. Pink, blue, green with a touch of dark amber. A large flower adds to its interest and beauty. There are no cracks. Repairs or chips in the glass. The glass is firmly in the frame with no movement at all. It has been cleaned and comes complete with 18” of chain on each side. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks in the glass that I could see.
