The pointy top is brass, no magnetic draw, rest is cast iron or metal. Turn the handle to connect to hook part of set. If there were ever truly a fabulous buy on a documented Louis Comfort Tiffany Stained Glass Window then this Landing window is it.Any Tiffany appraiser or like dealer worth his salt would appraise this window for not less then 50 thousand and up to 100 thousand dollars. I will stand by that claim. I personally feel that Bonham's Auction House was quite low in their estimate of this window at 40 to 60 thousand dollars back in 2006. Suffice to say I was offered the chance to broker this window at the asking price I'm showing and I jumped at it. So with all due honesty and sincerity I give you one of the nicer Secular Estate Landing windows that Tiffany Studios produced around the turn of the Century. Clear Chinchilla, green granite, amber, light green and coffee brown granite. There are 4 large green gems and 8 small iridized green gems in the panel. It features wonderful transitional Arts& Crafts era rich purple and rich olive green border textured glass panes and a single clear glass pane. The outside surface has white paint. And the inside was never painted. It was salvaged from an old house years ago and has been in storage ever since. Please note that the upper sash has sold. Please look closely at the pictures. The inner latch works are cleverly concealed. These antique locks seem to be in great working condition. They measure 1 3/4" high all put together. Scroll Down for More Photos and Description 2 Antique Eastlake Adjustable Window Cornices Patented June 1. 1880 These are quite unusual with the threade wood adjustment rod. The rod is intact on both. But feels brittle. We moved it a little, but did not want to risk breaking anything. Once these are in place they don't need to adjust, but if you want them to move really well and still be adjustable, you could replace the threaded wood with metal parts. There are some pieces missing. But all could be made by woodworker with basic skills. There are some pieces chipped off the crown and we hae 2 of those pieces, but not all. There is wear to the varnished and painted surface. Right now these are anout 56" Long x 8" tall There looks to be about 7" of movement possible on each side(14" of adjustment total) But they are ... moremostly extended now. Roughly, I would say they theoretically adjust from about 45" to 60" if the threaded rod works all the way. These will be shipped by FedEx. Contact us for a specific quote.
