The back of this latch is marked with a triangle and I can't make out what it reads inside(it could be an English mark) Together, this lock measures approximately 2 3/8" high x 1 13/16" across(just the mounting plates) With the handle it measures about 3 1/8" across and will stand up about 1 1/8" high. This antique window latch is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. It still has a beautiful old patina and works fine. You’re just not going to find this at your local home center. This is a swing arm type lock with what some refer to as an Eagle claw. The keeper is the right type and from the same time period but it’s not the original one for this lock. The working condition is good with normal dings and scratches and some specks of old paint. It has a Patent date on bottom of the lock that I think ... moreis 1893. Lock and keeper were given a fast cleaning and wiped down with an oiled rag but other than that it’s being sold in as found condition. Keep in mind the authentic antique ones are becoming very hard to find in this condition. Approximate measurements are lock 2” x 1 ¼” and the keeper being 2 ¼” x ¾” Free first class shipping in a padded envelope. Oil has been applied but they should have a final cleaning and clear coated or painted for continued protection. Please take a look at the many other antique hardware items I have listed. Once in a blue moon find. Turn of the century Victorian.I grew up in a 1800's victorian funeral home so I love the old architectural elements.In wonderful condition no dry rot. Etc. Has the original framing still attached to it. I believe that they are 4x4's. Original glass intact. The last four photos are of the inside of the window.
