It would make a Great window for a Sunroom or as a header over a door or built into a wall sunroom. Please Read This Carefully: We only sell OLD Windows. Glass making was not perfected until around 1930. Before then a lot of glass. Especially glass made in to sheets had bubbles, waves, imperfections such as ridges or lines of separation when the glass was made. Gorgeous Stained Glass Antique Transom with Jewels
This is a very nice antique piece that was purchased at a Dallas Estate Sale. The original frame was in terrible condition and damage to the outer frame occurred, photos are shown before and after. Glass is framed in to preserve the fragile glass from further breakage, the frame is very sturdy and in good condition and is ready to be displayed. It is a beautiful multi colored design with nine jewels. There are hairline cracks that have been epoxied and shown in the photos. They are not visible unless a close inspection is performed. Stained glass transom window measures approximately 30x 13.5 inches. This piece is a mix of cathedral red. Blue, yellow and textured clear glass. Textured red as a border. Patina is black. This 10 3/8"H transom features a nice variety of color. An incredibly luxurious wooden frame, and some very unusual shapes. This one has been taken to a professional for some repairs and while he did an incredible job I would consider this piece"as-is" and in need of some more work. Maybe at times he should have taken a break? There are a couple areas where the solder is off& I would recommend replacing some panes with a more exact match than what we see here. The glass only measures approximately 36 inches wide by 13 tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Someone added 4 screws at the top and a few nails to keep the window tight. Two eye bolts with 3-link chains were added in order to hang the window. You just need a couple of heavy-duty hooks and this window can be hung inside- in front of a transom window, an arched window, or any window that the sun shines in and that you want to add color to the room(there’s nothing like having the sun shine through a stained glass window, creating a colorful glow) Lead is soldered between each piece of stained glass(a thumbnail test showed nail indentation. So it is pure lead– or some other soft metal) The stained glass is arranged in a two-tone(English Muffle and smooth Cathedral textures) red cross with a small(just ... moreunder an inch diameter) amber jewel in the middle of the cross. There are 3 larger(1½“ diameter) amber jewels– one to the left, one to the right, and one under the cross. Blue ripple, reamy texture for sky or water surrounds the cross. measures approximately 26x 18" inches. This piece is a mix of 2 shades of blue colored textured glass. Champagne colored textured glass and textured clear as a border. Patina is black. This panel was constructed using the copper-foil method. Each piece was hand-cut. Ground to fit, wrapped in copper-foil and then soldered. Dark patina was applied to dark the solder lines. Finally the piece was cleaned and polished. Framed in zinc. Brass hangers on 2 sides. so it's ready to hang on the window. This piece is already sold. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. There is a pink fleur de lis in the middle with green leaves. There is a clear distorted background. It is in the original frame which is in good shape. It measures 43 inches long by 16.5 tall and is 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approximately 40.25 x 14. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple of tight hairlines. The glass has a slight bow. The lower part of the frame has some damage. Antique Art Nouveau c1900 Stained Slag Glass Transom Window Apples Rare
Wonderful example of c1900 or earlier American art glass in slag glass with lead caming. This transom window is in the Art Nouveau style with an Arts& Crafts twist. Lovely leaf and apple design make it really special– intensely colored slag pieces are in shades of caramel& creamy white. Green& red. It measures 52”w x 24 3/8”h x 1 5/8” thick. Glass only measurement is 47 ½”w x 19 ½”h. Glass is original and overall is in excellent condition, however there are three instances of tight cracks(see last two photos) that should be left as is as they do not at all detract from this piece.
