Vintage Taylor Smith& Taylor China set pieces Green Wheat pattern 1939- discontinued. The closet shakedown continues. These are Taylor Smith& Taylor.Made in the USA. I couldn't find much info on them, but over at replacements.com, they have the manufacture date as 1939 with the word'discontinued' before the date, but not sure if they just placed it in that order randomly or that was when they were discontinued. At any rate- this pattern, GREEN WHEAT, is a very beautiful pattern in person. 2 black bands with green and black leaves and gray stems. There are two items in the lot with issues. One is a bowl with pretty severe looking cracks/staining and a chip on rim. The other is a coffee cup that just has a manufacture type flaw on the foot and is fully functionable as it is. I am sending the bowl along, just because it was ... morein the lot, but it is not in very good condition and I do not know if it would be watertight or not. Cracks look like someone tried to repair them by maybe boiling the item in milk or something with discoloration inside and out. The rest of the set is very pretty and although they do show manufacture type flaws and some paint loss, etc, no chips or cracks other than what I have mentioned. I have wrapped each piece very carefully with plenty of paper and bubblewrap. High bidder gets all pieces shown as follows; 3 cups that are about 2 3/4" tall and measuring at top. Inside diam. measure about 3 3/8" 3-6" diam. saucers. 2 are numbered 2463 and one is numbered 3461, 3-7 1/2" saucers/plates. 4-9 1/4" plates. Salad plates? maybe, since replacements.com shows the dinner plates as 10" 3-bowls(not counting damaged one) They measure about 7" by 6" and are about 1 7/8" tall. Marked 3461 on bottoms. 1-covered sugar bowl. about 3" tall or 4 1/2" when covered. Measures about 7" across including handles on both sides. No bad smells or smoke. Good Quality 70s CONTEMPORARY STYLE CHESS SET& BOX. This is a GOOD QUALITY& WELL DESIGNED ~ 1970's Large Size CONTEMPORARY STYLE HARDWOOD CHESS SET& BOX ~ Complete 32 pieces. And in very good condition. Please note Photos. One of the black pawns was accidentally left in the box when the photo was taken. The set is actually complete with all 32 pieces! This is a very nice chess set which I believe was originally bought from the famous chess shop in London's Burlington Arcade. Piccadilly, back in the late 1970s. It is in excellent condition for its age and has only been played with a few times, having spent most of its life in storage. The box is made from solid rosewood, and the'moderne' but classic style set is turned from fine natural boxwood for the white side and ebony for the black. The set has leather covered ... morelead loaded bases and the pieces are very easily distinguished when playing. The kings are 3 3/4 inches high with a base diameter of 1 1/4 inches, the pawns 1 3/4 inches high with bases of just under 1 inch diameter. The set will comfortably suit a board with 1 3/4 to 2 inch inch squares. This set has a great appearance on the board and displays well. It is complete and in near perfect condition, and the box measures 9 inches long by 6 inches wide and 4 inches deep, and has a central divider to separate the sides, the inside of the top and bottom lined with green velour. Silver holder it does have a maker on it. sterling since marked with 3 or 4 marks I can make out the 870 cut out silver filigree holders measures 1 1/4" deep. 2" wide and 1 1/4" high. The tops are heavy on the silver. covers the top edge of the glass fully. my scale goes from one ounce to the next but. They each weigh over 1.5 ounces. they feel substantial and heavy. Offered for auction is a set of four Genuine Fiesta ceramic center coasters with holder. The set includes one each rose. Turquoise, yellow and seamist in a periwinkle holder. Each coaster measures about 4" in diameter. The holder has the original Fiesta logo sticker attached. The set is very clean and looks to be unused with the exception of a few tiny storage nicks. No residue inside between ceramic and wood on coasters and no crazing or staining visible. The blue stand has one tiny nick on top side. See enlarged photo of this area with pen as pointer. Also the stand is missing two of the round pads on base, shown in photo. Also the turquoise coaster has two very tiny nicks, each shown separately in photos. This is a sol id set of 4 mid century tapered ta ble legs. Each legs measur es 30" long. Made of walnut. Brass tips that show signs of wear. The legs do have some light scratche s but nothing major. Although they were tak en from the same table please note that they are corner legs. 2 legs have slig ht indents that were for added support and 2 do not. Th is can be seen in the last picture.

Vintage Jewel Tea Covered Casserole Dish 2- Piece Set Autumn Leaf Pattern
Up for auction is this vintage casserole dish. It is a Jewel Tea brand. Has a lid with the bowl, autumn leaf pattern and is in good condition. It is about 4" tall with the lid on and is about 8 1/2" across the top. I don't feel or see any cracks or chips. The mark on the inside of the lid is not a crack. Shows some wear but is beautiful!
