Set of 3 gothic arches. I bought these at an antique store this past weekend with the intention 2 paint them white for a shabby chic look but after really looking at them I realized they were too neat to paint. The color of them is a tealish bronze& they were painted to look really old. The color of them brings out all the grain detail of the wood& the metal detail in the center of them is a vintage copper color. These are heavy arches& really high quality. Each arch is a different size. They go from largest to smallest. The largest arch is 37 1/2 inches tall& 11 1/2 inches wide, the medium is 34 inches tall& 11 1/2 inches wide& the smallest is 29 1/2 inches tall& 11 1/2 inches wide. This is a nice set of 2 vintage WWII era dinner forks. They were made for the United States Navy for use in the Officer's Mess. They have the anchor on the front of the fork. Mary Gregory Style 3 Piece Clear Glass Cruet Set
This is a very pretty clear glass cruet set with typical Mary Gregory children in white on each piece. Each piece is diamond shaped and can be put together to form a six sided shape. What I believe is a vinegar bottle(could be used as a perfume bottle) with a faceted glass stopper. Has a girl playing a flute and on the opposite panel is a bird, like a stork, the 2 back panels are clear. The pepper pot with the EPNS lid(very discoloured with age) has a boy with a fishing line, on the other panel is a leaf and dragonfly. On of the back panels has a tree, birds and grass and the other is plain. The other pot which I assume is for salt, has a girl with a net catching butterflies. The opposite panel as 2 dragonflies, and on one panel on the back is grass, a tree and birds, the 4th panel is clear. This pot also has an EPNS lid which is very discoloured. ... moreI've never had any Mary Gregory items before, which is why I have put'Style in the title, and know nothing about the age or the country in which the set was made. I apologise for my ignorance. The condition of the glass is very good. I can see no chips, nips, cracks or repairs, it is just the metal on the 2 items that age it. The bottoms are smooth, there does not appear to be much wear to them, also some of the painted figures look to be a little bit dirty. The vinegar bottle with the lid is 3¾" 9½cms) in height. The pepper pot is the same height to the very top of the lid, and the other pot is 2¾" 7cms) in height. The diamond shaped base of each item is 2¼" 5½cms) by 1¼" 3cms) UK bidders.
