Pair of 1920s Leaded Stained Glass Bungalow Windows * FREE SHIPPING *
This old pair of leaded/ stained glass bungalow windows date back to the 1920s early 30s. They each measure Approx: 24” wide x 25” tall x 1 3/4” thick. The glass alone measures approx: 20” x 20” These windows were designed to open in as indicated by their hinges. One window has a single broken pane of glass(pictured) the other has No broken or missing pieces of glass. They both are in their original painted wooden frames. All the hinges& swivel lock handles are there. These windows were found in an old barn and will need a good cleaning. Penn Antique Restoration. 36"x80" Antique Arts& Crafts Exterior Oak Door. Handsome. Craftsman style, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid oak core with 1/8" oak veneers. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and the door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. Originally. The door had 9 beveled glass lites, but now, there are only 8. The corner of the thin, long lite is broken(see photo) Once molding is added, the break will either be concealed or barely visible. This listing is for a pair of vintage or antique stained glass church windows. These are classic pieces that came from a Chicago estate. And we were told they came out of a turn of the century church on the south side of Chicago. These windows feature beautiful, multi-colored stained glass, with hand painted center panes that feature a chalice with Eucharist and a Cross and Crown. These windows are stained, glass/leaded glass/slag glass on one side with a layer of clear glass covering the other side. Each one is framed in a nice wood frame with eye-hooks on the top for easy hanging. These are beautiful items that would look great in a church, home, ... morerestaurant, or anywhere with great light that could make these windows glow! Dimensions: These windows are slightly different sizes. The windows appear to be the same size. With slightly different thickness on the frames. The chalice window is: 15 3/4" x 44" x 1 1/2" The cross and crown window is: 16" x 45" x 1 1/2" Condition: These windows are very old and in good condition for their age. The frames have some layers of paint that are peeling in spots. So you may want to strip and re-paint or stain them. One of the windows has some hardware still on the frame, including brackets and a doorknob, but the other does not have any hardware other than the eyelets on top. The glass is in good condition for its age. There are a few very light compression cracks inside some of the glass pieces near the edges(this is common for stained glass this old) There is a crack in the center pane of the chalice window that goes from side to side across the entire pane(this is hard to see when it is lit up) Overall these are in nice condition for their age. This panel is largely original and in a new oak frame. It looks darker at the bottom. But it's just wet from washing. It has a purple border with blue inner corners. The center has a yellow background with 2 purple flowers and blue jewels in the center. There are green leaves and yellow buds. It measures 24 long by 31 tall and is 1.5 thick. Glass only is about 19.5 by 26.5 Overall. It is in very good condition. There are a few tight hairlines. It is flat and tight in the cambing. It needs a better cleaning. Antique French windows salvaged from a former cream production plant(see last photo) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's and many of the windows were original to the plant's construction. Although a few windows may have been made after that period; all are solid wood. Each window is made of solid pine and has 6 glass lites. The lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the exterior(green) side. No hardware included. These windows were originally installed as double-hung pairs. If you buy several windows with ... morethe intention of installing them as pairs. Please let us know after the auction. Each window is painted white on the interior side and green on the exterior side. We could either completely strip the paint. Or prep the surface of the for a fresh coat of paint. The door has a solid pine core covered with 1/16" thick, birch veneers, and has an impressive arrangement of 15, true-divided, beveled glass lites. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, and soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Also. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/16" thick and provide ... morestrength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood. Please email us for a quote. Condition: About half of the upper rail and half of the lock stile on the exterior side is missing veneer. It has the very old style wavy bubble glass, with wonderful"imperfections" and"flaws" in the make and with an excellent irregular reflection- the glass quality is hard to see in photos, but these are excellent examples of early glass. One flaw includes a long irregularity in one pane where a bubble stretched out and disintegrated into surface roughness during make. Has the old square-head"Type B cut" nails. Which dates these as early as 1810, but not later than 1900. No cracks or chips in glass. Has primitive layered paint with chips and cracks and discolorations. Penn Antique Restoration. 36"x 83" Antique Mission Oak Entry Door w/9 Glass Lites. Beautiful. Vintage, Arts& Crafts style entry door salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. The door has a solid pine core covered by 1/16" thick oak veneers. It has a true-divided, 9-lite arrangement. The center lite was replaced at some point with plexiglass. The door retains its original stain and finish on the front side, and it's painted on the back. Hardware: The door isn't equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) Repair: At the point of salvage. The door had a few cosmetic blemishes including scrapes, scratches, a crack in the veneer in the lower left corner on the front side, some bowed veneer on the right side of the lower rail on the front ... moreside, and some chipped veneer along the bottom, right edges. A potential customer wanted those blemishes repaired and also wanted the door sanded, and ready for paint.
