This is a really nice quartersawn oak barrister bookcase. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacked bookcase. This piece was manufactured by the GLOBE WERNICKE Company of Cincinnati. They were competitors of Macey and others. Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Rare form carved quartered oak barrister bookcase with desk leaded glass-14489
This is a great carved quartered oak barrister bookcase. Sometimes called a lawyers bookcase or stacking bookcase. This outstanding stacking desk bookcase is one of the nicest we have ever seen. It has leaded glass windows in the top two sections below the molded top. The carved fall board has a key that opens or locks the desk section. Inside are two strong desk lid supports and a nice set of pigeon holes with a single pencil drawer-fitted interior. The desk section sits above two full width drawers. The top drawer is shaped to fit the curve. The second drawer is carved to accent the fall board. Both drawers have original brass handles. The lowest section is an extra tall one with a"blind" door or wood paneled door to prevent breakage from feet. The entire piece sits on a molded base section. Here is a wonderful early to mid-twentieth century carved dark oak corner cabinet. Imported from the UK through Edinburgh and ready for use in your home or place of business today. This sweet cabinet stands 68 inches tall and measures 29 inches wide across the front. The distance from the front center of the cabinet straight back to the corner is 28 inches, with each of the side walls measuring 19 inches back to the corner. The top section of the cabinet is 38 inches tall with the base and two additional removable shelves which when in place offer about 11 inches of clearance above each and closer to 14 inches above the top shelf. You are looking at a pair of antique leaded glass cabinet doors. I believe they are cherry. I have another set as well. So if you need 4 be sure to purchase both sets. They are not painted, they have their original finish on them. They are in good condition. A few minor scratches in the finish, but nothing major at all. The glass is sturdy and there are no breaks. There are 24 pieces of flat glass and 6 beveles in each door. Each door includes their original glass knob. No hinges. Each door measures 20" wide by 36" tall by 3/4" thick. Up for no reserve auction is a set of 3 Antique slag glass panel lamp shades. The round shade has no cracked panels. It is approximately 9.5" tall. 8" diameter at the top and 3.25" at the bottom fitter. The square overlay shade with flowers has 4 panels which are all in good condition. It looks like 2 were replaced at some time. It measures 7" tall, 6" across the top and 5.25" across the bottom. The tall square shade is guaranteed to be Bradley& Hubbard. I purchase this piece about 20 yrs. ago from an antique store in Virginia. The owner said it came out of an old Victoria house in Philidelphia, Pa. Colors are magnificent with a lot of red. And 12 jewels. Very ornate. Frame is original, old white oil based paint on the inside and recent-latex paint on the outside. One flower pedal has a couple slight cracks- see photo. A vintage antique ceiling fixture/ chandelier composed of slag glass and textured glass panels. One of the dark purpled toned slag panels is cracked as is one of the white glass panels, and one seam shows some slight seperation going from the top to bottom. Wire harness and switch are currently working, but the harness shows wear, decay and distress and I would recommend replacing it. Was rewired in the past also, it is not the original wiring harness.

i have for auction this supercool signed b and h wall mount sconce. where do i find these great things? its like magic isnt it. it is in mint condition. no broken or missing tabs. No cracked, broken, or missing glass-glass all original, no broken, cracked, or missing filligree or metalware, no metalware seam separation. all that and it has a great, not frogskin but same green color, patina. it even has its original socket which i assume to be harvey hubbell as b and h used them alot. its wall mount hanging height would be 12 and 1/2 inches. if you chose to hang this from a ceiling, the total drop height would be 16 and 1/2 inches. folks it doesnt get any better than this other than i am selling it without reserve to the highest ebay bidder. please check out my other ebay lighting auctions as i have some really great stuff up for sale this ... moretime around. thanks for looking. bidders please remember that i am selling antiques and that there should be a degree of expectation on your part in knowing that there will be normal aging and minor imperfections towards an item that is 75 to 100 years old. chances are if there arent any. Its a newer item and you shouldnt want it anyways. in other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. i really dont want to do a refund because the finial( typically a 10.00 piece) isnt perfect on a 2,000.00 lamp. i always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what i deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. it seems the more experienced an antique dealer or buyer is, the more understanding of condition they are. that being said, if you think your going to be a difficult buyer because you want perfection in a 100 year old piece, please purchase another ebay sellers product. ebay has made it very difficult for sellers in the past few years yet im a good seller who wants to be fair and all i ask for is a fair buyer to do business w

Who made it? Don't know. But like most old shades there is no name that I can find. Looks a lot like Wilkison. Very heavy shade leaded solid no loose peices or separations. Is very old but not sure? Vintage or Antique? Cap looks to have been added at some point. Glass is beautiful but is somewhat dirty, I won't attempt cleaning) restoration pro's know how to clean old shades. May be tobbacco stain? People did smoke a lot back then. Either way it's in great shape overall would make a beautiful floor lamp shade. Shade is large 18" wide 10" deep. This is a lovely German Antique Sideboard with beveled glass on top cabinets. Mirror gallery, and red wood marble top buffet/bottom. It may be disassembled into 3 parts for transportation(Beveled glass cabinet top, Mirror Gallery, Marble top buffet/bottom) As you can see it has 3 drawers and lots of storage space. Dimenensions are: Height 82" 210cm) x Wide 71" 181cm) Deep 24" 60cm) There are some minor flaws as the thin clear laquer(applied over wood prior to my purchase) has peeled off in a few locations due to movers putting tape over these areas. There is also a small sliver of wood missing next to one side of the marble(see picture) due movers not being cautious.
