UPPER AND LOWER SET OF ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS OUT OF SAN JOSE CA HOME
Up for consideration is this Upper and Lower Set or Pair of Stained Glass Windows. They came out of a turn of the century home in San Jose. California. They are in very good'as found' condition. There are no breaks in any of the glass and all are securely in place. The wood appears to have been repainted many times but the wood seems solid constuction with no rotting. They both measure approximately 29+ inches by 21+ inches. Please view all photos and ask any questions prior to pruchase. Thanks for viewing our listing! RETURNS Sorry. This listing is for a pair of vintage or antique stained glass church windows. These are classic pieces that came from a Chicago estate. And we were told they came out of a turn of the century church on the south side of Chicago. These windows feature beautiful, multi-colored stained glass, with hand painted center panes that feature a chalice with Eucharist and a Cross and Crown. These windows are stained, glass/leaded glass/slag glass on one side with a layer of clear glass covering the other side. Each one is framed in a nice wood frame with eye-hooks on the top for easy hanging. These are beautiful items that would look great in a church, home, ... morerestaurant, or anywhere with great light that could make these windows glow! Dimensions: These windows are slightly different sizes. The windows appear to be the same size. With slightly different thickness on the frames. The chalice window is: 15 3/4" x 44" x 1 1/2" The cross and crown window is: 16" x 45" x 1 1/2" Condition: These windows are very old and in good condition for their age. The frames have some layers of paint that are peeling in spots. So you may want to strip and re-paint or stain them. One of the windows has some hardware still on the frame, including brackets and a doorknob, but the other does not have any hardware other than the eyelets on top. The glass is in good condition for its age. There are a few very light compression cracks inside some of the glass pieces near the edges(this is common for stained glass this old) There is a crack in the center pane of the chalice window that goes from side to side across the entire pane(this is hard to see when it is lit up) Overall these are in nice condition for their age. Description This is a beautiful Antique Stained Glass window that was salvaged from a Victorian home. It was originally part of a larger window. But this is all that could be salvaged. This panel is largely original and in a new oak frame. It looks darker at the bottom. But it's just wet from washing. It has a purple border with blue inner corners. The center has a yellow background with 2 purple flowers and blue jewels in the center. There are green leaves and yellow buds. It measures 24 long by 31 tall and is 1.5 thick. Glass only is about 19.5 by 26.5 Overall. It is in very good condition. There are a few tight hairlines. It is flat and tight in the cambing. It needs a better cleaning. Up for bid is this really beautiful pair of antique English leaded stained glass windows from the early 1900's. One window is 16 1/2" X 21 1/4" including frame. The other window is 16 1/2" X 22" including frame. This exceptional pair of windows. With their gorgeous design, colors& detail will definitely be the focal point of any room they are displayed in! Featured in the center of each window is an extra large cottage rose created with two petals of light tangerine& one petal of dark tangerine stained glass. These stained glass panels have a"chunky" texture. The center of each flower is garnet red stained glass that has a smooth texture. Nice contrast! There are two pale green leaves with soft wavy textured glass& one dark green stained glass leaf in the center that has a honeycomb texture. The ... moreamber gold panels have a very defined"cobblestone" texture. The marbled blue circle of stained glass at the bottom of the design has a ridged texture. One of the circles is darker than the other one. Notice the peekaboo glass panels in the center of the design have a very unique& whimsical flower& leaves pattern in the glass with a tiny beaded background. The peekaboo glass panes surrounding the stained glass design have a large"chunky" texture. The antique wood frames are very sturdy& the natural age& wear over the years is priceless! Some of the paint is missing from the back of one of the frames& both frames have a little wood(carpenter) damage that occured when the windows were being removed from the old English home. This is quite common& doesn't effect the windows are all. One of the frames has two"notches" at the top where the antique hinges had been removed. There are no cracks. SET OF 3 * ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS * 18" X 21" DUSTY ROSES
Up for bid is this matching 3 pc. set of antique English leaded glass windows from the early 1900's. Each is 18" X 21" including frame. Featured in each window is a pretty single tear drop shaped rose bud created with dusty rose colored stained glass. Underneath the bud are two pretty green stained glass leaves. The peekaboo panes have a softy wavy texture. All of the glass textures look great in any light. Two of the windows has a hairline crack in the corner of the bottom right pane. They are small& not very noticable. One of the frames has the antique hinges still attached to the top. The unpainted area on the bottom front of that frame is where another piece of hardware had been attached. Two of the window frames have some wood damage around the edges. RARE MATCHING SET. ALMOST PERFECT! This gorgeous pair of antique windows are from around 1910, saved from an old German neighborhood of homes, nestled in the southern region of St. Louis city. Fine craftsmanship is displayed from the hardware and lead, to the exquisite glass selections that allow color to dance for you. Incredible warmth radiates from this particular set, which glows amber with pops of deep, rich, sunset orange. Use them as a faux fireplace with back lighting(as seen in pictures) as replacement windows, or as a brilliant addition to any room as a hanging piece of rare unique glass and lead architectural art.
