Up for bid is this VERY uniquely made vintage leaded stained glass window from the early 1900's. The extra large frame is divided into THREE smaller windows. This extra large piece is actually one half of a pair of extra large double windows from an old English home. The size of the window will also allow you to display it as a transom! It will look amazing either way. See photo# 4. Each of the windows has a different beautiful& decorative design! The top window has a garnet red& dark amber gold diamond in the center that is accented on each side with dual bands of tiny beaded textured glass. The center window has a dual band of tiny beaded textured glass down the center. The bottom window's design features pale green& smokey blue stained glass. Nice color combination! A dual band of tiny beaded textured glass is featured ... moreabove& below the design. Notice the different decorative glass textures. All look awesome in any type of light. Additional leading was used to define& separate the individual designs. The clear glass panes allow you to see outside while still enjoying the beauty of the stained glass. All of the glass is very secure inside the frame. No chips. Nics or cracks. The authentic aged condition of the frame's paint& wood makes the antique look of the window priceless! Penn Antique Restoration. Antique 70"x17" Oak Arched Leaded Glass Georgian Style Transom Window. What an extraordinary find! This spectacular. Antique window was salvaged from a historic home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It has a solid, riftsawn, red oak frame and 21 pieces of clear, original, glass set within a leaded skeleton. The central leaded arch is adorned with 8 lead, floral motifs-1 is missing. You could tell that the piece was well-maintained over the years because it is in excellent condition! Both sections are in their original frames, the bottom measuring 62" x 37.5" and the top 62" x 30" Unusually, there is a provenance to these windows in that the man I bought them from, a Carpenter, removed them from their original installation after a fire damaged the home. The windows are both in very good condition with a crack or two in the arch section and one noticeable fracture in the column base on the right of the window. There is one replaced piece of glass in the lower right section of meadow. There is some use of mottled glass in the window. Antique Stained Glass Transom Window,Painted & Kiln Fired With Heron & Hawk
This very unusual stained glass window measures 30" x 11 5/8" All of its pieces have been painted and fired in a kiln with the exception two on each end. All the designs are pretty and executed in a very delicate manner. The central motif is a Heron or Egret and a Falcon. I was told that this came from a town house in Newark.New Jersey. Whatever studio produced does fine work but I am unfamiliar with their style and I have been collected stained glass windows for many years. The original frame could not be saved. The leading around the perimeter has been redone. Photo# 5 shows one cracked piece that I stabilized with super glue. It is a tight crack. Antique American Stained/Beveled&Jeweled Glass Window
fid#10053 A very nice Antique American Stained/Jeweled and Beveled Glass Window. Most likely from Chicago, circa 1895. This window, still in its original frame measures 34" x 35.5" The window has had a couple of restorations. Much of the lead work has been touched up in the sense of repairs to broken joints. Some of this work was good, some just passable. When the window came into my hands, it needed to be flattened, re-cemented and one of the rondel had a chunk missing. Fortunately I have a quantity of antique rondels which are the same size at the ones in this window, however they are more transparent and less brown then the originals. Rather then replace the one damaged rondel and have an obvious mis-match, I elected to replace all 6 of the rondels with the matching old stock. At this writing, the window has been flattened, re-cemented, ... morenumerous joints were re-soldered and the frame was stripped of old paint. I see no signs of replaced glass. Up for your consideration is this green antique Victorian Queen Anne stained glass window piece. It features a textured side and a smooth side. It was salvaged from windows from an old Victorian house years ago and has been in storage ever since. It measures about 3 by 4 1/2 inches. Overall. It is in good condition with some edge roughness and scratches. There are no cracks in the glass. There may be some glazing at the edges that can be easily cleaned off. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir and is painted on both sides. The door has 2. Arched"tombstone" style windows with ORIGINAL, wavy glass-incredible to think that it survived for well over 100 years! The glass has bubbles, dimples, and the charming, uneven"wavy" surface that only antique glass has. Below the windows are 2, vertical raised panels. Also, notice the beautiful, bold applied(raised) molding on the exterior side of the door-what a great accent! Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. At another point in the door's life, someone added a strip of wood to the top to even it's height to 79 3/8" We could even the height to 78 1/2" or cut it even shorter, or properly add to the height so that it wouldn't be so obvious once you repaint the door- email us for a quote. The glass is secured with glazier's putty on the interior side of the door. Most of the putty is still intact. But a significant amount is missing. Glazier's putty is inexpensive and could be purchased at any hardware store. Many carpenters and window installers could do the job within an hour or two, and once cured(hardened) the putty could be painted. Condition: The door has a chipped lower corner(see last photo) Otherwise. The door is strong, sturdy, and in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. Large antique stained glass window (circa 1919) 32x43 dimensions
For sale is one antique stained glass window. This was salvaged from a Baptist church built around 1919. Exterior dimensions of the window frame are 32 inches by 43.5 inches. The glass is in good shape except for one of the yellow panes. Which has a crack through it. There are no other cracks noted. The window frame is in decent shape but extremely dirty. This window would be a great decoration with a bit of cleaning and a fresh coat of paint on the window frame. I will ship the window by FedEx or UPS ground shipping(whichever is cheaper) with insurance and lots of padding. I will ship promptly after payment is received. The original antique frame was damaged during the window's removal from the old English home so a solid 1" thick wood frame was made for the glass. A reinforcement wood piece is attached to each corner on the back of the frame. The natural wood is beautiful but you can paint or stain it as you choose. This uniquely designed window definitely reminds me of one you would see in a church. Just beautiful! Several panes with different glass textures have been included in the window. Possibly as late as the first quarter of the 20th Century Item# 130001ETR27 This is a beautiful French XVI Style Antique Window Bench. Possibly functioning dually as an antique foot stool. Probably crafted during the years of 1890-1910 during the height of the Rococo Revival period. It is a crisply executed piece. An overall breezy design, leveraging the play of the thin profile and tight formal lines against the bold and deep carvings along the hands and arms, it is a very successful presentation. The arms are molded, carved scales carefully layered along the top to culminate in carved acanthus handholds on all four corners, these are lifted on supports that flow in a single piece of wood from the handhold to the toe. Falling directly ... morebeneath each handhold is a floral display of bold and crisp execution, this flowing into a plain molded stile that squares at the frame, then turns and tapers in a stop-fluted leg terminating in a conical-ball foot.
