Beautiful large transom leaded stained glass window measure approximately 48" x 24" within a solid wood 1 1/4" thick frame. I believe the central design is a chalice and host which are done in slag glass as is the green trim. The leading and solder are in great condition. On the left front the clear glass panel there is a hairline vertical crack and there is a crack in the purple blue glass base of the chalice. Antique Stained Glass Church Window Pre 1850 One window is up for sale. Email if you are interested in more than one window. This beautiful antique stained glass church window dates prior to 1850. It is part of a larger set of church windows in a church I own. This window needs to be in a new building or church where it will well-maintained. There are no visible cracks or chips. The colors are vibrant. The exterior of the window has been protected by a covering of thick glass for the past 25 + years. I have not found the window maker yet. But consulting with stained glass experts it is a very special window of quality made by a very good studio mostly likely in the Midwest. This church was completed in 1877 but the entire set of windows came from another church as a few of the windows have been slightly modified. However. I think the church ... morewas built with this specific set of windows in mind. Window has been modified to open at bottom. See pictures. Measurements: 44” wide x 164” height(this measurement includes the wooden frame) The entire window will be removed by a reputable stained glass studio in the Midwest. Price includes removal. The window will remain in the church until the window is paid for in full. Date of removal will depend on the availability of the studio and the weather. You may contact the studio about arranging transportation of the window and any other services they might provide. There are eight windows total. Each window has a different symbol at top. Matched pair of antique victorian leaded stained glass church windows
This is a matching pair of Victorian church windows. My father removed these from a church. In New York City, under demolition in the late 1960's. I do not know the what church. I do not know the age, The windows are in the original wood frames that were painted white. No repairs or damage has occurred since removal from the church. They are as is. Other than the white paint on the wood frames, when removed from the church. Each window has 9 round amber gems. Each window has 6 cracks- I have tried to highlight in pink in the photos. Each wood frame is 17 3/4" wide x 57 1/2" tall. Each window has 13 1/4" wide x 52 3/4" tall of exposed glass.

REDUCED OVER $1000.00! ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS WINDOW Here's the story behind this piece: About 10 years ago. My father purchased an early 20th century house in the Heights of Houston to restore. On the front of the house was this framed stained glass piece. My father did not want it, so it became mine. I had originally planned on restoring it and featuring it on my own house but life got in the way and I have lost the interest or desire necessary for this project(my loss) THE SUBJECT/CONTENT: The glass window portrays the story from the Old Testament where Jonah. A prophet of God, tried to flee God's command. He was thrown into the sea and a large fish(often referred to as a whale) swallowed him only to regurgitate him later on dry land, saving him from drowning. THE GOOD: This is a HUGE window. It measures(framed) 43 inches wide and ... more38 inched high. The frame. Painted white on one side, is 2.5 inches wide all around. This makes the actual window size inside of the frame 38 x 33. This came from a house built in a reputable part of Houston just north of downtown and was built close to 1920 or before. It was taken to an estimator/stained glass expert and according to them, it most likely came from a church in the area which had closed down or was selling off pieces for any number of reasons. The new owner protected it with plexiglass at some point and had it showcased in this old house. THE BAD: There needs to be some restoration as the lead is cracking or missing in some places. Age and lack of maintenance have taken a little toll on this piece. There are some cracked glass shards and 1 or 2 small missing pieces. The top portion of the frame was removed to view the glass. The mortise joints were broken. But the top section of the frame still rests atop the side pieces holding this frame together. THE UGLY: NOTHING. its a great piece needing a little professional TLC or kept in its present state. Either way. This antique would make an awesome addition to a restoration house or as a show piece in an office. C

Large Antique Stained Glass Church Window Dates Prior to 1850 This beautiful antique stained glass church window dates prior to 1850. It is part of a larger set of church windows in a church I own. This window needs to be in a new building or church where it will well-maintained. This is a very unique depiction of the Virgin Mary. Through researching stained glass I have found no other example which even comes close to this depiction. There are no visible cracks or chips. The colors are vibrant. The exterior of the window has been protected by a covering of thick glass for the past 25 + years. I have not found the window maker yet. But consulting with stained glass experts it is a very special window of quality made by a very good studio mostly likely in the Midwest. This church was completed in 1877 but the entire set of windows came from ... moreanother church as a few of the windows have been slightly modified. However. I think the church was built with this specific set of windows in mind. Measurements: about 6 ft. Width x 12 ft. Up for auction is an antique Philadelphia Church stained glass leaded window with lamb and crusades flag recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. This has been expertly framed. It truly is very flat hanging on a wall but comes to life when light comes through as was originally intended. A nice antique frame holds this together. The lead has some losses here and there and there are quite a few cracks in some of the glass pieces. They truly are not noticeable until you point them out. I had actually forgotten they were there until put the piece in the window. Can act as a"curtain" hanging in a window or some l.e.d. lights could be fashioned behind, battery operated. Re-framed by professional carpenter using white oak recycled from Church pews, glass restored/repaired by professional glass studio, framed and ready for display- either sitting on window sill or you can attach hooks for hanging. Glass- dates to 1880s. Approx 100+ yrs old, has two horizontal support bars, high quality studio glass with tiny bubbles, bark, pebble, and wavy slag surface texture, lots of character Colors- see 6 different colors of glass- including deep mottled red. Streaked slag, and hand painted medallion- Beautiful window Overall approx. 22 7/8"W x 39"H x 2 3/8"Thick Good used condition- see no un-repaired damage.
