Inspired by the designs of Boulle under Louis XIV, this ebonized mahogany cabinet features extensive ormolu bronze mounts and brass marquetry. Lower cabinet doors open to reveal two shelves with old red velvet and the Druce and Co. nameplate. The upper cabinet features glazed and curved glass side panels and glazed doors and two adjustable shelves. Overall condition is good. There is a crack with losses to the brass in the upper left section of the lower left door, and other minor cracks to the brasses. There is a narrow vertical crack on the left side of the cabinet, and a few missing mounts, including the reed-and-tie border to the upper window on the right side, and the glass is cracked in the upper panel as well. This is a Brickwede bros dinette set. Table 5 chairs and a buffet.It was made in Marietta OH 1840-1917. These were made from hand cut wood. They have been revarnished and original seat covers changed. The table has scratches but is not in the wood. The spring that holds one of the side folding leaf is a little week so it sags a little. That would be a easy fix.The table has claw feet. The buffet is in excellent shape. Has original handles. For being over 150 years old it's in pretty good condition.

Gorgeous Mahogany Buffet from 1800s with locking doors, drawers
For local pick-up in Houston area only. Purchased at the Antiques Pavilion in River Oaks 15 years ago for $1500. Beautiful piece I hate to sell but recently inherited my mom's buffet and can't keep both. This is prettier than what mom had but. Hey, I can't get rid of Mom's! Has some flaws. As you would expect of a 200 + year old piece. But overall, very nice and utilitarian. Side doors lock. I have the key. Felt lined silverware drawer. The dealer told me it was authentic antique. A potential buyer told me it was a reproduction. The buyer stranger had his own motivations. That said. I make no guarantees as I have never had it appraised. However. Very large highly carved antique lowboy/ sideboard. Late 1800's early 1900's. My guess you be the judge. Was found in Belgium and shipped over to Utah where I bought it. The carvings on the 4 outside doors appear to be profits and you can see horns on Moses with the tablets. The center is a mid-evil sword fight with a castle in the background. The center door holds 4 drawers, the top is felt lined for sliver ware. The 4 outside doors each have one shelf on the inside. Very solid and heavy oak with decorative iron on the bottom. Note items in or on the low boy are not included. Stands 4 feet tall about 8 feet long and 2 feet deep. Weight not sure, my brother and I was able to lift it when we were more fit. China Buffet - Mid 1950's / hand built and hand carved
This buffet was hand built and carved in the mid-1950's by an unknown craftsman. Approximate measurements are 72" high. 82" long, and 18 1/2" deep. It is a 2-piece cabinet, built extremely heavy and sturdy. The bottom half consists of 5 cabinets and 5 drawers. The top half consists of 3 glass doors and 3 glass shelves on the inside. It has a few minor dings and has minor wear on the stain. It still has all the original glass in it, and has never been restored in any way. There is one piece of glass on the bottom of one top cabinet door that is broken, as shown in the picture. It is in excellent condition otherwise.

Antique Italian Tuscan Carved Walnut Sideboard Hutch Cabinet Cupboard Paw Feet
This is a very good antique carved walnut Tuscan cabinet. It was purchased in 2003 in Arezzo. Tuscany, from an antiques dealer. It is in very good shape with a nice patina and beautiful wood color. No significant defects(other than the normal wear that one would expect from an old piece of furniture) except a now-fading white water ring on the surface where some thoughtless person(me! put down a plastic bucket of hot water. A little Old English Scratch Cover or perusal of Mr Google or discussion with a knowledgeable antiques dealer will probably result in advice on how to remove this easily. I just never took the time to do so. DESCRIPTION OF SECTIONS: There are three sections that come apart for easy moving. 1) The upper section has three doors with carved helmeted. Bearded men(Romans? on the two outer doors, each facing in towards the middle ... moredoor where a shield/crest is carved. The outer doors are flanked by carved acanthus leaves. The doors are separated by carved columns with carved capitels. All topped by a heavily carved pediment. Inside is one shelf running the width of the piece. Creating two shelves for storing linens, glassware, clothing, whatever. 2) The middle section is composed of two square columns and a simple back piece. Separated into three, framed sections corresponding in width to the doors above. 3) The lower section has three drawers and three doors. As above. The outer doors are flanked by carved acanthus leaves, but these are topped with carved heads. The three doors are decorated with carved swirling leaves and a shield. All of this is on carved paw feet. This breaks down into several parts: The top third The back piece Two columns which. Standing 84 inches tall. With a width of 68 inches and a depth of 24, this well-proportioned work of art features solid Mahogany wood construction, done in two main pieces. The beveled mirror back is original and does have some blindness that gives the server it’s“only original once” credibility. Three dovetailed drawers span across the top of the cupboard base. The center one being for silverware, retains its original felt lining, all with finely carved pulls. Below these drawers, are three cupboard doors. A fine inlaid antique Hepplewhite sideboard with desk, circa 1775-1790
This fine Hepplewhite mahogany sideboard was built in Philadelphia for my ancestors who lived in Alexandria. VA. In the 1960's my father had it lovingly restored. The faceboard drawer folds down to create a roomy useable desk with several smaller drawers and cubby holes. Behind the central door on the desk is a hidden compartment where the butler kept the keys to the wine and liquor cabinet on the left side of the sideboard. Satinwood veneer is used to decorate the legs and for bellflower motifs on the lower part of the legs. Very good condition; original locks not operable. The main cabinet surface is made from one solid piece of wood that is over 1 inch thick, 63 inches wide and 21 inches deep. The 22 inch and 19 inch wide wood doors are carved from single solid pieces of wood! The craftsmanship in this piece is incredible. The hand cut beveled glass panes are still in their original condition. All of the original hardware and keys are in tact. The main door and crown are intricately handcarved in a beautiful asymmetrical pattern. The lower cabinet doors have a locking mechanism that runs the entire length of the door from top to bottom. Antique Sideboard Cabinet Hutch Bookcase
A truly unique piece of furniture craftsmanship. It's a simple but elegant design with superb attention to detail. It is a one piece unit standing about 79 inches tall. About 45 inches wide, and it is heavy. Let me state at this point that I am not an expert and my observations and descriptions are intended to help a more knowledgeable person make a decision whether more interest is warranted or not. First of all the overall construction as with most furniture of this vintage is amazing. The fit and finish of the separate components validates the care and skill employed by the craftsman. The side pockets are both lined in a semi-circular fashion with what appears to be solid wood. These are topped off by what appears to be hand carved hemispherical shaped alcoves. The upper middle section is enclosed behind a finely detailed wood grillework ... moredoor with glass insert. Note the medallions incorporated with the grill. There are two shelves with indentations for china display at back. The three bottom components are each enclosed with a one piece door. The general composition appears to be a mahogany wood veneer over solid wood. I'm guessing at the age based on the materials. Style, and manner of assembly. There appear to be tiny screws holding the backing in place as opposed to the more common practice of using brads or nails. I believe it to be late 1800's or early 1900's. As you may have noticed in the photos. There are some area's which need repair. A piece of the veneer has been lost from the bottom, one shelf has gone missing from the lower center component. It also has some damage to one of the support runners for the shelf. One of the scrolls at the top is weak. There are scratches and chips in the veneer. I recommend a personal inspection before bidding. This will be listed for local pickup only. Any reasonable offer will be given consideration. See companion piece in my listings for Hutch Bookcase.
