But the only stamp on the bell is an"Eb" s tamp. With no Bu ffe t in signia. Indicating the bell is likely no t original; wood body is in good condition. And there do not appear to be any cracks. However there is a large crack in the barrel(see photos) A nd there may be a fine crack in the bell teno n( where the bell re ceive s the body-tenon) no sign of repairs. Antique 1929 Cherry Wood Dining room Set Table 6 Chairs Buffet Hutch vintage WOW
I am the 2nd owner of this nice vintage dining room set-I bought it from the estate of a lady that purchased it new in 1929. Original tags still attached-reads-made by Bernhardt Furniture Co. Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece ... morethat measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. I am unsure of how to classify this beautiful piece of furniture. When you open the cabinet. It appears like an area to put your albums in on the left side and on the right there is a shelf for items to be placed. There is one drawer on the top. According to previous owners, this item is from the 40's and has never been refinished and contains its original hardware. Has been taken care of very well. Contains stamp inside the top drawer along with an affixed label on the inside drawer, along with numbers stamped on the back which is kind of hard to make out( 4780 670) The previous owner did have a mirror put on it but it did not come with it as it didn't appear to belong to it. This came from the estate of an old violin maker along with all the violin stuff that I wanted. So I have no knowledge in this field. It is at least 35 years old. I will attempt to identify any marks or brands, but I'm sorry I can't critically evaluate the quality or condition of the item. Nor a clarinet professional, but I can tell you that all of the buttons work, and move something when pushed. They feel smooth, broke in, ready for someone to play. When assembling, everything feels snug, except for one fitting, which seems a little loose. Lacquer is original& about little over 50% remaining. Pads(with original resonators) were replaced recently. It has a complex dark& warm sound. It plays as well& sounds as good as few SBA altos that I own, yet cost is just at a fraction of a SBA. This particular Buffet doesn't look pretty as it has been well used, yet it's a real good singer which I PERSONALLY prefer it over other later Buffet SDA or S1. The color is a darker rich brown with reddish undertones. This is the original finish and has held up very well.Very nice Dixie brand vintage Duncan Phyfe styled serpentine dresser also comes with a nice large mirror. Original labels on the back. All drawers work very well-sturdy-nothing broken. Finish is original and very nice still. Intricate pulls and knobs. The top has a few smudes and one of those is a very slight heat ring from a mug that is not immediately noticeable. These are not bad. But you may want the top touched up a little, therefore the lower price on this item. Its 58" wide and 18" deep on the end, then the drawers stick out more at the curve to 19-1/2" deep,the height is 34-1/4" tall.The mirror is also very heavy and nice-47-1/2" by 30" tall. Extra trill key for G#C# and low G# as well. the wood is in fantastic original condition. There is a small chip in the barrel. But does not effect it at all. the original case is old, but still in good working order, and the original mouthpiece is also included, in good shape. Just recently serviced. Vintage Evette Schaeffer Bb Clarinet by Buffet-K Series-WOW!
SquareTrade © AP6.0 Offered is a vintage Evette Schaeffer Bb clarinet made by Buffet Crampon. Paris, France c.1954. Serial number K123. The K Series began around 1953 during the Golden Age of Buffet musical instruments when Paul Evette and Ernst Schaeffer owned the company. According to the Buffet website, the Evette Schaeffer clarinet is almost identical to to the famed professional R-13. The only discernible differences are in the right hand pinky keys. There is also rumor that slightly flawed wood was saved for making the Evette Schaeffer model. Still identical to the R-13 in it's polycylindrical bore and undercut tone holes on the bottom joint. A far superior model to the modern E-13 which retails for over $1800. This Evette Schaeffer is in excellent condition considering its age. The wood is tight grained and dark brown with ... morestreaks of reddish brown running throughout. A small crack in the bell has been expertly repaired. And a few small surface cracks repaired on the bottom joint. None of them went all the way through the wood. Mechanically in excellent condition. Very little wear and all keys fitting tightly between the posts. Leather pads. Although not new, are in perfect condition and are in good adjustment. The barrel measures 660mm and is a replacement barrel which works well with the clarinet. Plays with a smooth rich tone. Excellent action. In tune at A=440. Turned classical Urn legs support the stretcher base where there is one broken piece on the left side. Brass hardware fluted legs, gorgeous wood inlay, intricate trim work. Amazing Vintage Antique French Linen 216" x 44" Buffet Table Cloth- Pale Yellow Featuring: Fine Needle Work Point d' Venice Inserts. Details& Hem Insertion lace Mosaic work Drawn work- Embroidery Padded satin stitch description: It is hard to photograph this buffet tablecloth as it is so long! 6 yards of wonderful medium light weight and finely detailed French linen! That's 18 feet or 216 inches with a 44" total width(including lace edge- 39" without) so it is for a very long. Narrow table- or a wider one with a cloth underneath. It is photographed in three sections. The first photos are of the center and the latter are of the two ends. You are seeing this cloth on my 70" x 42" dining table. I purchased this cloth with an estate linen lot and have never seen anything quite like it. It has a mix of ... morestitches- many I believe to be crafted by hand. The design is floral, stylized urns in the center against geometric embroidered drawn work cloth. The corners are lilies in insertion net with padded stain stitch all around. There is embroidery and Point de Venice lace work throughout. The hem is in five different circular designs that repeat all around. The center medallion is amazing and is a bit wider than the rest of the cloth and again, in highly details satin stitch against embroidered mosaic insertions. The color of this cloth is a pastel/ pale yellow- more of a spring yellow than a creamy yellow. The Point de Venice lace around the hem and center is an antique white- definitely not yellow and accents the lace work around it nicely. I would believe it to be European and made in the early 1900's. It is truly a beautiful heirloom piece with many years of use remaining. condition: The tablecloth is in excellent vintage condition. I did not soak or launder it. The fabric and lace integrity is excellent. There is one area of some small light age spots(not rust) that should come out with a soak and I noted a few other very slight age spots on the cloth(see photo) hardly notic

Vintage Beautility 1930's Wood Curved Sideboard Buffet PICK UP ONLY!
Nice art deco vintage sideboard purchased used in 1987 and cared for in a non-smoking home. Convex and concave design lines. With an interesting, open, curved base. This is a solid piece that has 4 drawers, and 2 cupboards. Top has some wear and some veneer loss- see pic 7. The top drawer has 2 sections and is lined in green felt. Cabinets have a shelf, one of which needs to be re-secured. Knobs are metal. One is off and is in the drawer, but it's missing the escutcheon. Made by Beautility. Offered for sale is a Beautiful French Cherry Antique Server/Buffet/Sideboard. This sideboard features beautifully hand-carved details. Four dove-tailed drawers and four doors each with 2 adjustable shelves and scroll feet. The hardware is solid brass and the cherry grain is gorgeous. The drawers include mahogany and ash wood. This sideboard measures 41" high x 87 1/2" wide x 21" deep. The cabinet has locks, but we do not have the key. The sideboard is in excellent overall condition with light scratches on the top surface(see pics#5, 6) It appears a prior owner sanded the top very smooth but did not refinish the top with varnish. The back of the sideboard does not have any manufacturer's signature. Overhauled Vintage Professional Buffet Wood Clarinet
This is a Buffet stencil clarinet made for the M. Hublart music company in Strasburg. I have found other saxophone examples from this music company that were buffet stencils as well. This clarinet has all the correct halmarks- no regulation screw on the a key. The g# key is not recessed, the left hand pinky keys are on one rod and connect through a pin hole design. The clarinet has been fully overhauled with Lucien Deluxe pads. New corks, keys polshed, and wood oiled. The keys are solid nickle silver- no plating. The bore at the top of the upper joint is around 14.7mm. It comes with 2 barrels. The original one is 67mm and has 2 repaired cracks, and the other is 64mm. The original one is not usable since the cracks warped the bore, so the metal rings have been put onto the second one so the metal turnings match. No cracks found on the rest ... moreof the instrument. I believe the bell is rosewood since before oiling it was much lighter than the rest of the instrument and the ticking to the grain matches the rosewood bell on my Couesnon clarinet. It does not come with a mouthpiece. Case is in great shape and is sturdy. Interior velvet is still supple, and it latches securely. Buffet Crampton Vintage"Soliste" Saxaphone Reeds (Tenor and C Melody)
An unopend packageof vintage Buffet Reeds. Packaging suggests these are either Pre or post WWII. In my meager research I could not find any info on these reeds. I am a saxaphone player. And one of the few boxes I acquired was opened. I soaked and played these with ease on my Tenor, mated with a Guardala 8 mouthpiece. I liked the tone and response of these reeds. Not overly bright. These are not super thin cut and I estimate reed strength to be a 2.5. There are no strength markings on the box that i can understand. The cane is the same width of a Modern Vandoren. These are about a 1/8 of an inch shorter that todays Tenor reed. I am not sure if this is because they were also marketed for the popular C Melody of that time. Reeds are a bit discolored from age. Antique Vintage c.1900 Buffet Crampon Clarinet for Restoration or Display
Aside from a few years playing in junior high school I know little about clarinets. This was my grandfather's and he played in the Marine Band during or shortly after WWI(I haven't been able to document this) He was born in 1898 so my guess is he played it about 191 7-20. There is no mouthpiece. The pads and corks are in poor shape and I can't remove the barrel from the top key piece- I don't want to force it. The metal ring on the barrel has a hairline crack and can come loose. All keys and mechanical parts seem to work fine. I am selling this as a vintage antique instrument for restoration. Parts or display only in"as-is, non-working" condition. You are bidding on a vintage Buffet Crampon& Cie clarinet in case. The case is hard cover and has a metal plaque that says Buffet Carmpon& Cie A Paris. The case has some wear as shown. I am not familiar with the clarinet but I will attempt to describe it to the best of my abilities. None of the keys stick when pressed down. The mouthpiece does not appear to be original. There are two included in the box. One is Yamaha and the other is unmarked. The metal piece in picture 5 next to the bell is marked Mithcell Lurie. All other pieces look original. The bell has a small crack in the metal which can be seen in my pictures. Vintage Side Board Dinner Buffet
This is a fabulous dinner buffet sideboard that has as much character as it has storage space. It's 5'4" long x 20" deep x 32" tall. It has 2 cloth lined silverware draws. A utility draw, 2 single storage closets, and 1 double storage closet. This item is large enough for the silver, the china, the linens and anything else you would need to entertain a formal dinner party. The silverware draws are 12" wide x 15" long x 3" deep, the utility draw 26" wide with the same length and depth as the silverware draws. The single cabinets are 14"wide x 16" deep x 20" tall and the double cabinet is 28" wide with the same height and depth as the single cabinets. This piece is 60+ years old, as far as I can estimate, and has some wear(see pictures) but is in solid shape. This is a very early Buffet 18-20 relacquered tenor. Serial number 908(with what could be a very small letter"C" beneath it- by no means certain) in good+ overall condition. My guess on the vintage of this horn is late 1930s through the 1940s; notice that it has the low Eb trill. The horn needs a complete rebuild to be made playable; all the keys and rollers are moving freely. The horn's physical flaws are relatively minor: slight bend at front edge of bell; a few scattered small dents; one small roller missing from pinky cluster; resoldered post where side keys mount(see photo) The neck was pulled down a little(hence the resoldered underside brace) and the seam at the tip, while not open, looks like it could use a little extra solder for security. All in all the neck too is in good+ condition. The horn comes in a hard case ... morethat's reasonably decent, not too beat up and is functional. With the leafs down it measures 38" x 18" and is 29"H. With both leafs extended it is 78"L. There are issues with the finish. With water marks.Some spots, scratches Down one leaf there are 2 long drip marks. The door for the cabinet needs a new handle. The handles for the drawer are original. There are spots of rust on the metal castors. I am sure they could be cleaned. It rolls just fine. I originally bought this to redo it. But now I don't have the time. This is usable just as it is.
