Rare Mahogany Period Sideboard, with String Inlay, Table Heighth, c.1870's
This is a very unique mahogany server with intricate inlay and flamed doors and drawers. All hardware is intact and the drawer and doors all open smoothly. The top has a couple of cracks. One is severe; we will be planning to repair or replace this; if you are a purist and want it original, let me know soon. All feet have brass casters. Antique 19th c. French Provincial Carved Pine & White Oak Large Sideboard Buffet
Selling a beautiful antique French Provincial side board with wood/glass upper displays(you are buying the entire piece as shown) We recently purchased several large pieces from a local winery that is changing ownership and renovating their tasting room. All of the pieces were originally brought in at a great expense from France to showcase wine. While we love this piece. It is too large for our small shop and we are selling it. It is currently being used to display some of our antique porcelains. This is a very large and intricately carved sideboard/cabinet. It was made in two pieces- upper and lower half due to the large overall size. It is made of pine and white oak with beautiful carvings throughout. It dates to about 1880. The height of the piece is 90" at the tallest part and 84" at the shorter sides. The overall width is ... more84" The middle section is 23" deep and the sides are 18" deep. The holes next to the knobs on the bottom are where the locks have been removed but these will be put back in for the buyer. The top of the cabinet(glass uppers) have also been wired for lighting. The overall condition is excellent. There are minor scratches etc. in places as is normal for a provincial piece of this age. All doors. Hinges etc. are excellent and glass is all intact. The piece comes in 2 pieces as it is quite large and this makes for easier transport. This item can be picked up from our store Maxine's Relics in Calistoga or we can arrange local delivery. Nineteenth(19th) Century French Hutch/Buffett Good Condition 8' tall Nineteenth(19 th) Century French Hutch/Buffett Antique- It is 8’ tall with finials. 6’ 10” wide. The bottom section is 33” deep and the top section is 18“ deep. The 4 winged griffins that hold the top section are 14" high. This is the first antique I ever collected beginning in 1982. It was purchased from the Antique Guild in Los Angeles, CA. One key opens and locks the two doors at the bottom, two drawers in the middle and two glass doors at the top. There is a bit of filler in one spot and a nick or more if one looks closely. See the pictures for a more detailed look. The two most notable spots are highlighted. Also, there is a missing finial. Here's a pair of French half round cabinets from the late 1800's The Bottom drawer on one does not go in all the way. I think the wood tabs glued at the back are wider in this drawer and it is an easy fix. These were used in a mortuary for over 80 years. Tops are inlaid. There are two drawers each. Very exquisite. Not perfect but almost. In the upper peninsula of MI and you would need to take care of shipping, possibly with the realtor at this end unless you move fast. These are approximately 30-35 pounds each. This will have to be local pickup or Freight pickup from Calumet MI, you pay for the freight. Antique Rattan Marble Top Server, Liquor Wine Bar, Sturdy Victorian Wicker Great
A Victorian 19th century bamboo rattan server. Or bar featuring a marble top and six sky blue glazed tiles. The rattan has the original mottled finish. And the front legs have an interesting splay. There is a woven rush covered door with a working latch enclosing a two compartment interior. Woven rush also covers the bottom shelf on both sides of the cabinet. The tiles are secured with the original, old stamp decorated metal pins, and the top of the back posts are capped with beautiful stamped roundels. The tiles are backed by the original old pine board. The entire piece is in excellent condition, with no damage or repairs. The tiles and marble top are in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks. The server is very sturdy with no shakiness, and along with the marble is quite heavy. I can see this piece being perfect for a Victorian vacation ... morehome. The piece measures 44 1/2 inches tall. 31 inches wide. And 18 1/2 inches deep. The marble top is 29 1/2 inches off the floor. And the back with tiles rises 15 inches above.

French Country sideboard tiger oak, c.1800's
This is a very charming antique French sideboard from the 1800's made of tiger oak. Medium oak color. Beveled glass on the upper door fronts and a beveled mirror in the center. It features carved brass detailing throughout, as well as the door pulls. There is shelving in both upper and lower cabinets. The upper and lower components detach for ease of moving. The last photo is the lower cabinet without the upper and was taken outside, which is more the true color of the sideboard. Early Empire Walnut, Mahogany and Birds Eye Maple Sideboard
This Early Empire sideboard or server is rare. And the combination of woods is striking in appearance. The piece was made in the South, and located in the state of Tennessee. The top is composed of tiger maple, the center drawers are birds eye maple veneer, the drawer fronts are walnut, the doors are mahogany veneer. The back splash is of the original painted striped design. The sides have a cherry wash. The knobs are opaque glass. The secondary woods are poplar and pine. The bottom drawer is for wine storage. The patina of the woods is beautiful. It would be outstanding as a sideboard or server in the dining room, breakfast area, library, etc.

A very fine antique. Circa 1840, Empire solid mahogany, and flame mahogany veneers, linen press, or sideboard. The front has two carved half round acanthus leaf columns with capitols, the front legs carved as paw feet. There are two top drawers with flame mahogany veneers, mahogany knobs. One drawer is velver lined for flatware. The drawer interiors are maple, the bottoms chamfered. The doors below are veneer fronted, and open to a divided compartment with one stationary shelf( shelf to left side missing. The top is one solid mahogany board, a horizontal crack long its middle. The case side single boards are solid mahogany without cracks. The only venneer loss is by one capitol(see photo. The furniture measures 3'5" 41" tall by 4' 48" wide by 2' 24" deep. This period 19th century sideboard features period dovetail joinery on the drawers and the drawer bottoms, doors and back are also chamfered. The ornate brass pulls may not be original but are definitely period antique ones and the floral details on the pulls are beautiful. The top of this sideboard is a solid mahogany one board top with flamed mahogany on the backsplash and front of the piece, with full columns flanking the doors. A very nice antique. Circa 1800, Federal bow side and serpentine front mahogany sideboard. The flame mahogany top board is solid and not veneer. The legs are solid mahogany with string inlay and oval inlay rosettes. The side panels, drawer, and door are flame mahogany veneers with bands of uncommon checkerboard inlay. The case interior is maple and oak. Glass drawer knobs are replacements to original wood or brass knobs. All locks present with three keys for left door, right door, and top drawer, lower compartment doors have no key. Sideboard measures 3'4" 40" tall by 6' 72" wide by 23" deep. Very good condition: original unworn finish, minor tiny veneer chip or nick here or there. Some cracking to veneers where doors and side panel boards behind them have aged. This was purchased almost 10 yrs ago for over $1.500 and, after being remarried this no longer is our décor. |. |. Antique Victorian Calamander Inlaid Credenza c.1850, This is a superb antique Victorian calamander and burr walnut inlaid credenza. It is circa 1850 in date. Oozing sophistication and charm, this credenza is the absolute epitome of Victorian high society. The entire piece highlights the unique and truly exceptional pattern of the calamander wood extremely well. It has burr walnut insets with fr uitwood inlaid decoration and the most wonderful marquetry decoration with kingwood crossbanding which was the work of a Victorian master craftsman. This credenza has elegant serpentine open ends with a panelled door in the centre which opens to reveal a shelf and plenty of room to house your drinks. Glasses, crockery, etc. The serpentine ends are mirror backed and the shelves have intricate ormolu galleries at the front. It is smothered in fabulous ... moreormolu mounts which give this cabinet the regal look. Its attention to detail and lavish decoration are certain to draw the eye wherever you choose to place it in your home.
