It has lion head accents in both the copper panels and the wood, as well as detailed carved accents and brass rings hanging from several of the lion heads. There are a couple of the wooden lion heads that are damaged, with the lower jaw and brass ring broken off and missing. There is one brass ring still present with the cabinet, that could possibly be re-attached. The wood on the inside of the drawer is beginning to split at the back bottom, as can be seen in the photos.

This fabulous Victorian sideboard features an abundance of beautiful carvings from top to bottom.from the center raised panel adorned with raised fancy scroll carvings. Beaded trim across the top, carved half sunflowers, incised carvings, pierced geometric carvings and foliate carved supports. We believe this piece to have its original finish as well as the original marble. Mirrors and fancy brass drawer pulls and also has its original wood casters intact on the base. Ornate oak buffet top featuring highly detailed griffin legs and a gargoyle. It is large and quite heavy. Overall. It is in very good condition as depicted in the pictures. It has been refinished. There is no mirror and the sides of both set of paws are missing. Also see the small area of veneer missing on the back left side. There are also oil stains on the top from lamps. The top and bottom of the mirror frame are not oak.just painted wood. There is also some damage to the tops(not visible) of the frame sides where the dowels are inserted. This turn-of-the-century piece came out of a home over 150 years old. We believe it to be quarter sawn oak. But we are not furniture experts. The handles have been replaced. It is 71 ½ inches long, 25 inches deep, 38 ½ inches high in the front, and 46 ½ inches high in the back. 2 of the 3 upper drawers are velvet-lined, and one silverware drawer has a sliding upper section. Beautiful 1800s claw foot empire sideboard. Very good condition for its age minor scratches and flaws. There is a place in the veneer on right drawer that looks like the veneer started to come off but was repaired. The feet have lost some of the coloring and need refinishing and small place in front top but all in all great piece. Flaws are minor just want buyer to be aware. Key hole us missing one one door but comes with key. Dimensions are 45" height x 72 1\2" width x 25 3/4" depth weight is approx. 150-200 pounds. Near Malvern, in the Santa Cruz Mountains, St. Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica. It was one of several pieces of Jamaican Colonial furniture which he ordered to be made by the British Craftsmen and African Slaves on the Plantation on the occasion of his marriage in 1830 to Ann Katherine Tomlinson(1811-1866) the daughter of John Tomlinson, Esq. 1780-1820) of Bluefields Estate, a Sugar Plantation in Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica. Here for auction we have a good early Victorian mahogany sideboard or dresser base dating to the mid 19th century. This impressive sideboard has a rectangular top over a bank of three frieze cushion fronted drawers above a central rebated cupboard door flanked by fielded panel doors and raised atop a plinth base. To one side the cupboard is fitted with two original slides for storage. The drawers are mahogany lined and in original condition. I bought this Beautiful Hand Carved example 15 years ago in the Marche De Puce outside of Paris.It boasts the Finest. Most Delicate Carving I have seen and in almost every panel showing Cat Tails, Reeds,Flowing Curves and Flowers at every corner and around Heavy Shaped and Beveled Glass in the upper doors. It retains all of its Original Hardware and Keys as well as all shelves. We have enjoyed it these last years but are now downsizing so another can enjoy this Museum Quality Piece. We were told that a sister piece is housed in the Belgium Museum, Art Nouveau Exhibit but have not confirmed this. Renaissance Revival handcarved sideboard
I am selling a Renaissance Revival Gothic hand carved sideboard in the Mechelen Belgium style. It has winged lions. With dragons, on the sides to hold up the top crown. It has three panels that depict a story. It has lion head drawer pulls. The cabinet doors lock, but we don't have the key. There is a water bearer carved between the door panels. The drawers have hand carved dovetails which date it before 1860. It is dark oak. There is 1 light scratch on the top. Also the lions face is missing on the left side, and it is cracked and repaired on the right side. It has wear and cracks from age. There is also one little chip on one of the door panels which is not noticeable. We bought it at an estate sale outside of Houston Texas four years ago. Southern 1820/1830's Sideboard Made by James Woodward of Norfolk Va.
Up for your consideration is this 1820/1830's sideboard made by James Woodward of Norfolk Virginia. The dimensions are 60" long. 45" tall and 21 1/2" deep. James Woodward was a cabinet maker in norfolk Virginia and lived from 1769 to 1839. James Woodward was an artisan and considered to be Norfolk's most prominent cabinet- maker at that time. This sideboard came from a Richmond Va estate that has ties to Robert Munford of Richmond. As you can see in the pictures there are a couple areas where the veneer has come off but other than minor wear to be expected it's in really great condition. Early 1800's American Quartersawn Oak Early Arts & Crafts Era Sideboard Buffet
Early 1800's sideboard made of quarter sawn oak. This piece is an early American Arts and Crafts piece handcrafted with the makers signature under the drawer and hand made dovetails. The mirror is the original beveled mirror with only minor graining. This side board is in remarkable condition for its age with only minor staining to the top as pictured that does not take away from the piece. But adds to its character. The finish is original. I believe that at some point someone replaced a set of hinges on the cabinet door. It is older but does not appear original. This wonderful piece can be viewed just north of Sacramento in Rocklin. This is a wonderful decorative piece. The ray itself has been restored. It is over 100 years old. I commisioned the Artist to do the painting in 2000. This is water resistant on the surface since restoration so it can be used, not just for show. The artist is a local NY artist out of Rochester and has a heavy following. She is mostly known for paintings on furniture and items like this. It is a beautiful tray and great colorful painting. On the sides of the tray are markings that read"General Radio CO" I am not sure if this was added at a later point but it appears to be a stamp or stencil that was on the tray when i purchased it.

Here is an absolutely gorgeous late 19th century Scottish mahogany sideboard with shield back decorative mantle and lovely doors. Top surface and side panels. This wonderful circa 1870-1880's Victorian buffet has ample storage with it's three large drawers and open cabinet space below, including fittings for several additional drawers in the far left cabinet as shown. Recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland this terrific oversize mahogany cabinet is a real find, particularly in such nice original condition. This sideboard stands 69 inches wide by 26 1/2 inches front to back. Measuring 50 inches tall to the top of the removable mantle with carved shield back wood decorative and with a work surface height of 38 3/4 inches tall. The two large outer drawers are each 16 1/2 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches front to back by ... more2 inches deep while the center drawer is 27 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches front to back by 2 inches deep. The two outer lower cabinet offer space behind the lovely doors 17 1/4 inches wide by 26 inches tall. On the far left there are two shelves within their fittings, each 16 1/2 wide by 19 1/2 inches front to back by 3 1/2 inches deep, with about 15 inches tall by 20 inches front to back open space below. On the right side, this space is simply divided in two by one fixed shelf that creates space 14 1/4 inch wide by 20 inches front to back with 11 inches clearance above the shelf and 14 1/2 inches clearance below the shelf above the base of the cabinet. The interior of the large central cabinet with it's lovely paneled back is 28 inches wide by 18 inches front to back and also 26 inches tall, with one removable shelf which can be used to divide the cabinet space or not. FRENCH VICTORIAN CARVED OAK BUFFET WITH MARBLE TOP
This very special piece. Which dates from the 1890s, is part of an estate collection. It’s decorated with gracefully carved ribbon and bow motifs, with three framed, beveled mirrors. It has its original delicately detailed hardware and beautiful golden finish. While this buffet is grand and has plenty of storage room. It’s compact enough to fit nicely in a relatively small space. It measures 19 ¾” deep by 43 ½”wide by 78 ¾” high. Similar pieces with much less interesting carvings sell for $2,000 or more. It’s in very good condition, except for a thin crack on the left front of the marble top(see photo) LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.

So I am guessing it is from the turn of the century(1800's- early 1900's) Wood is in good condition, bottoms of the drawers might need to be re-glued. Flower" adhesive shelf paper was used by my Mother and needs to be stripped. All of the outside oak appears to be in good condition.
