He had one sister and one brother: Jane Evans(b. abt. 1852 in Ohio) and John L. Evans(b. 1843 in Wales) Solomon was a soldier in the US Standing Army. He was stationed in the Western states during the time of the Western Indian troubles. He wrote to his home people for several years. Then never again heard from. He was married.
