1947 Ford V8 Giveaway Drawing Poster Vintage Automobilia Advertising Antique
This is a professional copy of the original poster from 1947 offering a new 1947 Ford Super Deluxe sedan Coupe to be given away in a drawing to be held at the August 14 Baseball Game in Clay Center Kansas. The print measures 11" x 17" and has been professionally laminated for preservation. There were only(25) of these made. The poster was found in the attic of an old house and was put up for auction. Do to it's delicate condition the buyer made the decision to professionally copy a limited number of these and have them laminated so they would be around for many years to come. Antique 1909 Yale University College Poster Bulldog Abigail Kellogg Hazard
This is a very cool and from what I understand very rare antique 1909 Yale University or College poster. It was designed by Abigail Kellogg Hazard and features the school's bulldog mascot. Handsome Dan, wearing a large blue ribbon. There is also a snippet from Yale's school song. I am certain this is the original frame as this type of oak Mission/ Arts and Crafts frame was very popular at that time. It does look as if someone took it out at one time; I didn't. I reinforced it with my professional Fletcher staple gun. Uncle John's Maple Syrup Billboard Advertising Poster complete, Antique 1920s
This auction is for a COMPLETE billboard poster dating from around 1920. This billboard from Uncle John's Syrup is a full and complete 19.5 by 8+ foot poster billboard that was never used. The character in the billboard. Though having an"Uncle Sam" appearance is in fact J.B.Shurtleff the owner of the company. The scene depicted on the billboard was in fact an accurate representation of the owner, as he had a long standing reputation for being very hands on in his business, often insisting on bringing in the syrup from the woods himself. He was known as a reclusive pioneer of the sap business. The company, based in Boston stayed in business until the 1920's and was also know for its production of honey and mustard. This original 1920's billboard is unused. The condition. For its age is rather remarkable considering it ... morewas never designed to last, particularly un-posted. It does have some mildew and moisture damage and there are rips and tears along the seams and edges of the billboard(please see conditions and images for clearer views of the damage) I have done some research on this particular billboard and found an estimated value of $1700-$2000 at auction. I am starting the billboard off at a fraction of that estimate, and with no reserve. This beautiful early billboard would lend itself nicely to a bit of restoration, and maybe being laid carefully on a canvas backing. I have made no attempts to clean or restore the piece myself and it is exactly as I found it in an old chicken coop here in Mid-coast Maine. It is a 100% authentic and period piece of advertizing. They ... morehave holes in the rails so you can put rope back and forth just like the old period beds, if you wanted to go without a box spring, and the beds themselves have a burnt-in brand reading"Kings Arrow Pine, and they are all-pine construction, with the exception of the side rails. The shields are pine, and they have most unusual upside-down acorn nuts on the tops of the posts, with a gorgeous old patina. The overall size of each bed is 43.5 inches wide on the outside, the footboard is 48 inches high, 35 inches to the cross-spindle stretcher, and the headboards posts are 47 inches high. The shields are 42 inches high. The inside dimensions are 39 x 76 on the rails, which will accommodate a modern-day box spring and mattress with the use of an L-bracket or trim board for the box spring to sit upon. The beds are really nice, with the old-time worn finish, and would look great in a log cabin, a turn-of-the-century house, in a collection of period furniture, or even a brand-new home. Antique 4-Poster Cannonball Bed by Paine of Boston
This is a Paine twin cannonball bed with superb scrolled turnings on each post. It comes complete with foundation(hand tied) and mattress both in excellent condition. Also included are the original mahogony siderails. This comes out of an estate that had lots of excellent period pieces. I am guessing this bed was made in the 1920's. Regretfiully. Sorry for the pictures its a little to large to get in one shot. This is a very nice very solid hand painted bed. Not sure were it was made but I purchased it in England. Underneath the paintwork it is solid mahogany. Its a king size which is 80 wide 80 long 90 high. We also have the wood slats to go across.So all you need is ma mattress, its in the french country look hand painted maybe around 30 years old but looks like its 100 years old. There are poles to the top if you wanted to have curtains or fabric. But look great as it is.

So difficult to show white items! Kindly look with care at all the pictures. This is a white-on-White jacquard woven cotton coverlet for a 4-poster full bed. Measurements are 83" wide. 60" + 12" flap in length. Probably 95-125 years old. In lovely condition. The only defect I see came from one of my old clothespins. Little or no wear at all. This coverlet came from an estate in central Kansas. It was quite clean when we purchased it last weekend. But I did wash it and dried it on the clothesline.

Early 1920s Chinese poster advertising cigarettes. Very rare. The poster was produced by Meilee Tobacco Company. A wholly owned Chinese cigarette company. Its name appears on the top of the poster. The poster features two ladies in swimming costumes. The background is a traditional Chinese scene. Looks like they are swimming in the river by the houses. A typical scene near Shanghai. There are three packets of cigarettes on the bottom: The Yuhtoo brand. The Chaoyung brand and a Chinese brand Zhaochao with no English title. The brands are interesting as there are no English influence. The name Yuhtoo means The Rabbit in the Moon which came from a famous Chinese fairy tale. On the side are banners promoting the cigarettes. The banners translate as: Zhaochao was a Chinese beauty from the Han Dynasty. Zhaochao Cigarettes are Chinese made specialties. ... moreThe poster is in excellent condition with only a small hole near the top left and a tiny tear on the lower left edge. The poster is fresh and excellent as it was 90 years ago. The two metal rods and the cloth loop are intact. The poster was printed by stone printing or lithograph. The quality is excellent. These posters were given away as decorations for homes. They were printed every new year in the early 1900s. They were not items for keepsake so many didn't survive.
