The quilt measures about 92 inches x 77 1/2 plus 14 inches(at the 4 poster notches) There is some wear to the applique as well as some staining- I also saw two small holes- see photos. It Measures 23" wide by 13" tall. These were hung in the Subway Stations. Trollies and buses dating back to the early 1930's. Up for auction is this wonderful old poster just found at an estate sale.looks to be an old calendar top of a painting by famed American artist. Philip R. Goodwin. Measures about 23 1/2" wide x ranges from 15 5/8"16" tall, made on poster board, not thin paper. This is old, not a modern reproduction. This print shows"Philip R. Goodwin" in the bottom right hand corner(though partially cut off) No date. The sign on the tree states, Prevent Forest Fires It Pays" perhaps this was a calendar for the forestry department? This poster board/sign has been displayed. It has thumbtack holes in each of the four corners, a couple of the corners have two holes, and also a thumbtack holes on each side. Also in the center bottom, there is some paper loss and some tearing, perhaps from display. There is wear, especially on the ... moreedges and I see three drops of gray paint on the left side front(see the last photo) Some light creases noted, some dirt spots on the paper. On the back there is spotting/wear, and a paint drip. No off odors. Though not perfect as it's old and has been used. It is a nice example of Philip R. Goodwin's printed work. This piece is very rare and depicts the scene of two Black/ African American soldiers fighting German soldiers during WWI in France. This piece is historically significant with respect to the recognition of Black/ African American soldiers as"Heroes" despite the continuing issue of racial inequality especially in that period of history. The piece if from 1918 and was printed in Chicago by E.G. Renesch. Condition: AS IS. Look at pics carefully. Item has just been professionally framed. Item has condition as would be expected from a paper item of this era. The issues including ridges/folds. And a rip/tear where the missing hole(about the size of hole-punch) is pictured(probably lost when framer straightened out the folds ... morefor framing(was previously being kept in a frame that was too small which is why the folds/ridges at the top and bottom are there) Along the lines of the folds, some spots go all the way through as small holes. Despite the frame being brand new, there is a very light defect, a tiny scratch under the colored finish in the bottom right corner, under an inch long(essentially not noticeable at all) Additional issues that I don't readily see but could be present are minor discoloration(likely due to age, but overall color is still very nice) and additional rips/tears that I'm not aware of and aren't readily visible. I don't know the history on this fair. The poster is definitely very old. After lot's of research. I could not find another one. This may be the only one that has survived. Poster is printed on a thick paper stock. Reads: Imperial Fair Grounds 9 Days Starts Sat. Feb. 28 California MidWinter Fair Crafts 20 Big Shows Printed by"Alles Printing Co. 224 E. 4th St. Los Angeles" 27.75" x 21.75" Condition: As you can see. It has lots wear on the edges especially on the right side. Pinholes on the corners. Has two tears on the right side. One is 2" and the larger one is 6" Overall I would say it's in decent condition ... moreconsidering it's age for an advertising paper item that was likely meant to have been thrown away. Buster Brown Antique Cloth Poster Pin The Tie Game
Estate Item: Auction for one(1) complete Buster Brown Cloth Poster Pin the Bow Tie on Buster Brown game. All original circa 1905 has original 18 by 24 cloth poster. 11 of the 12 bow ties and original envelope that the game came in. The envelope shows how the poster looked before the bottom part was cut off so the ties could be cut out. The envelope also has the original price tag of.25 cents from Foley Brothers Department Store. The cloth poster has very bright and vivid colors. Great condition, please be careful of creases and folds, this is a very old poster. The envelope has the complete game instructions printed on it. Neat game based on pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, except you pin the tie on Buster Brown. 1st class S&H is $4.00.

Antique Post Toasties Cereal Advertising Cardboard. I believe this is from around 1910. The edges are fragile and are pealing. There is mar in the middle of the picture. It isn't a scratch it is an indent like mark. This is sturdy but if picked up by the edges I am afraid it would snap/break.it is approx. 100 years old. The sign size is approx. 16X20.
