For sale. 3 piece antique full bedroom set, estimated 1920's, in EXCELLENT condition. Has been used continuously for the seventeen years I have owned it with no problems, selling due to lack of space. All flaws shown in pics. There is some kind of white discoloration on tall dresser, a couple of water rings. Top drawer of dresser is loose. Joint of vanity has pulled apart a tiny bit, care is needed moving it. Local pick up only, St.Louis MO area. This is my first time selling on e-bay(have great feedback as buyer) really anxious to please with this. Edited; I just remembered that the bar running between the posts on the foot board is a little loose in the middle of it(this has never caused any problems. 1920-1930 Antique Thomasville Four Poster Bed & Nightstand
Collectors Set- Family Heirloom Four Poster Bed& Nightstand has been in one family since the 1930's and may predate that time. Handled gently. The Thomasville Emblem can be found inside nightstand drawer. The model number stamped on the back of each piece is L-553. The wood is in amazing condition and has never been refinished. Some surfaces show scratches on the top and could use smoothing and refinishing but overall the pieces are truly gorgeous. Four post bed has discoloration at bottom of a couple posts which you can see in the photo and an area on the headboard has lost shine. The name was the acronym for" Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) walking on shore by military boats. With skyscrapers in background. The poster states: The Navy Needs you In the Waves- Don't Miss Your Great Opportunity John Falter(1910-1982) Creator of this beautiful oil painting used as a U.S. Navy Nurse recruiting poster was one of the best and most prolific artists of the war effort John Falter(1910-1982) Falter studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and won a scholarship to the Art Students League in New York. He received his first commission from Liberty Magazine in 1933 to do three illustrations a week. During the 1930s he became a successful ... moreillustrator of fiction. During the 1940s and 1950s Falter acquired several notable important advertising clients including Gulf Oil. Pall Mall, Johnson& Johnson, and Hertz Rent-A-Car. Up for bidding is this Antique 1908 Coming of Age Programme Poster It measures 37cm wide by 29cm high(14½ x 11½ inches) And was printed on thick card by the stationers Blades, East& Blades of Abchurch Lane, London. It was to commemorate the coming of age on the 14th of August 1908 of Henry Mark Beaufoy, son of a vinegar manufacturer. He is listed on and was also the original recipient of the famous poem wriiten by his father. In very good condition. This poster has presumably been enveloped for the past 105 years as the colours are still excellent. And the photo also. There is bowing to the card, and a 23mm tear at the top. For sale we have an amazing 100% Original Antique Poster Spanish American War Poster. This is a very rare poster. I deal in a lot of military items and this is the first poster I have ever had from the Spanish American war. If you look at the bottom right hand corner there is a signature and the date 1898 but it is very light and does not show well in the photos. The colors are amazing. It measures 27" by 16" It is in good condition for its age. This is one of two Spanish American War posters I am selling. They come out of a very old collection. Also, this will come with the original frame(see pictures of frame) Up for auction is this antique Odd Fellows poster of founder Thomas Wildey. In the one photo you see the monument with the dates 1781-1861. The poster is sometime after 1861 but I'm not sure of the age. It is a very old poster on heavy stock non-gloss paper. The paper is somewhat stiff and a tad brittle. Just what you'd expect to see in old paper. The poster measures 17 inches by 21-1/2 inches. Overall. For the age, the poster is in nice condition. A couple brown aging spots in places and a little bit of minor tearing and staining on the edges as would be expected on such an old piece. Some brown staining on the back side. The poster comes ... morewith the original frame that it was found in. There was no glass in the frame. You will get the frame. I neglected to take a picture of the poster in the frame so I just took some pictures of the old wood frame. Those are the last photos you will see below. I can tell you that you will like the appearence of this poster. It will display nice and it has the look to it that you know you are looking at an old item and not a modern day reproduction. Mahogany ... moresolid shield on the headboard, and the extra-tall 59-inch-high posts on all four posts. The beds were put in the shop, all re-sprayed to remove the nicks and dings that these antique beds get, and we also fabricated a new set of bolt-in side rails to replace the original ones, which were too short and in rough condition. The overall dimensions on the outside are 46 inches wide, posts are 59 inches high, the cross-stretcher on the footboard is 33 inches high, and the shield on the headboard is 38 inches high. The inside dimensions, for mattress purposes, are 42 inches wide, and 76 inches long, which will definitely take a 39 x 75 modern-day box spring and mattress. The beds are really nice.
