Large rare old antique solid bronze Celtic Irish Harp door knocker + knocker pad
This is for an original large rare old antique solid bronze Celtic Irish Harp door knocker complete with knocker pads( one origiansl and two spare brass ones) the knocker is about 14cm( 5.5" high 9.5cm( 3.75" wide. Decorated as shown with Celtic patterns. I beleive there is a makers make as shown in picture three but the years and weather have taken it toll on this and it is unreadable, other than that it is a fine old knocker and rare.

This is a fabulous antique Irish crochet lace collar. It is from a local estate. The collar is very large. The outside circumference is almost 60" The inside circumference is 16" and it is 9" wide. The detail of the hand work is amazing. We were told by an expert that the lace is not tatted(which we were told) but Irish crochet with dimensional flowers and clovers with picot bar joinings. Who knew? The condition is excellent. There may be minor discoloration. But we really can't see any. There are no tears. It has been kept in perfect shape. Description. This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver beer jug has a circular baluster shaped form onto a domed circular foot. The body of this piece of silverware is embellished with impressive chased floral. Foliage, scroll and stylised shell decoration accented with a fruiting vine and incorporating a bordered vacant oval cartouche to either side. The jug is further embellished with a fine and impressive chased mask to the underside of the pouring lip. This Irish piece retains the original hinged hallmarked domed cover retaining the original hallmarked floral and foliage finial. The cover is encircled with chased scroll. This one has a lovers and cows in a field with sky and clouds. This mug also unusually has a repeated acanthus shape decoration inside the rim. I believe looking at other mugs and the shape of the base. Handles and decoration, although similar to, it is not Belleek which is usually marked as such. It is from the mid to late 19th century. Judging by the Turkey Red and shirting fabrics used. I would estimate the top to have been made between 1880 and 1900. The top measures approximtely 74" X 75" There are a few small popped seams(top is hand-pieced) and some stains probably caused by moisture. Most of the stains are lighter- the stain at the center of the top is darker and about 3 1/2" in diameter. I have seen no fabric deterioration. This top would make a nice addition to your collection. This teaspoon is in the fiddle pattern with the pip to the back. It has a hand engraved crest or armorial of a hound chasing a hare to the front of the handle. The crest is rubbed and a bit hard to make out but we are very sure that is what it is. The dog looks like a greyhound. The owner's initials(JB) are engraved to the drop at the back of the spoon. Please see photos. It is 5 3/4" long and weighs.8 oz. on our postal scale. It is fully hallmarked to the back of the stem with the Irish harp. Hibernia, the queen's head duty mark and the maker’s mark for Peter Walsh, active in the early 19th Century in Dublin. It has the date mark“T” for 1839. Free Shipping to all Locations! I am selling this box for a wonderful older lady at my church. She was a war bride from WW2 from Ireland and moved with husband to the US. She told me that her Great-Great-Great Uncle was a priest in Ireland and that this box was in his possession. She said that the story told to her is that he kept it on his dresser and kept his rosary and cloth in it. She had no idea where he got it from and that it was passed to her Great-Great Grandmother then to Great-Granddad to Granddad and then her mother and to her. She also told me that in the 1980's she had it looked at by a few Catholic Artifact Dealers and they offered her considerable money for it at the time. If you look the item is held together by hand forged iron. And it is all hand painted once a very long time ago. At one time there was a latch but she ... moretold me that was long gone and she said that when the family got the box it never had a latch. The painting has Mary and Jesus. It is a beautiful DAMASK pattern and still has the original paper tags reading"Double Damask- warranted all pure linen- Made in Ireland" The fabric has some slight staining near the outside of the bolt where it was folded up over time and the very edges have a light stain to them and then there are several light stains going through the fabric where the outside of the bolt was. I would estimate that 5 yards is clean and the other 2.5+ yards has the light staining. Hopefully this can be laundered, but I have not tried to clean any of the vintage linens I am listing this week. I always try and describe my ebay items as thoroughly as possible. It is overall in good shape. The re are a few flaws to it. I n one of the corner s there is a small rip(I have taken a photo of it) An tiny hole is on the back corner of the flap. Beautiful Antique Silver Irish Wolfhound Letter Opener. Aproximately 9.5" long x 2.6" across the head. The silver plate blade is 1.1" at the widest point. The beautifully detailed Irish Wolfhound head is solid silver and accounts for the majority of the estimated 7 ounce weight. The silverwork is that of a master craftsman and is beautifully detailed down to the hairs of the dog's coat. I have owned this letter opener for over 30 years.
