DERBYSHIRE – Robert Morden, 1695, Antique Map, Darbyshire
DARBYSHIRE by Robt Morden An attractive and detailed. Copper-engraved map of the county by Robert Morden. I believe it’s the 1965 first edition based on the type of paper and a previous owner having written 1695 in pencil on the verso! The map itself measures approx 42cm x 36cm excluding margins. Vertical centrefold. Quite light paper. The map is in good condition; a very clear and very bright impression with no fading. Very clean with no foxing or uneven browning. Lovely colouring and great decorative value. There is quite a bit of crinkly creasing that actually looks fine and in-keeping. The only significant condition issue is that there are remnants of paste on much of the verso; I assume that the map was glued to a backing at some stage and was subsequently removed. Without damage to the paper. In terms of the map image itself, it appears ... moreclean when looked at flat but when held at a certain angle to the light you can make out some thin shininess; maybe seeped through from the verso but not an issue when looked at normally or behind glass. The platemark is visible the whole way round, but the map has been shaved on 3 edges; and along the top close to the platemark. The map will be rolled and posted in a tube. First class recorded postage in the UK is £3.65 plus £1.00 packaging giving a P&P total of £4.65. Many thanks for your interest. Any questions then please don’t hesitate to ask.

Beautiful Old Map Of Ireland & England - Rare Irish Pub & Bar Print
This is a beautiful old map of Ireland and England. It contains some lovely detail. On the top left. A picture of London can be seen while on the top right there is a picture of Edinburgh. The map contains some lovely script writing. In the sea there seems to be sea monsters. Which is maybe a reflection of the age of this map. The inaccurate shape of the Ireland is also a reflection its old age. In the bottom right hand corner of the picture. The edge of France can be seen. It really is a lovely print and shows how Ireland and England were viewed in old times! NOTE: The image used in this listing has been scaled down in size and features a watermark for image protection. This will not appear on your purchased print. Faithful Reproduction of Antique Print. Dimensions: 16 X 12 Inches Approx No Extra Shipping on Multiple Prints!

Two 1890 Dated Maps of England and the British Empire - B16
Offered here are two 1890 dated maps of England and the British Empire. Map one is very interesting as it shows all the land under British control at its height when the sun never sets on the British Empire and Map two shows the Brisih Isles. England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. The actual map measures approximately 11.5 by 26 inches and they were removed from the Library Reference Atlas of the World by John Bartholomew. Both maps are in good condition though there is crease down the center where the map was bound into the book. The white streak in some of my photos is the reflection from my flash. Can't seem to get rid of it. I have had some of these maps professional framed and they look great. If you are not satisfied, I will refund your money less shipping. If you have any questions, please ask. Check out my other auctions! Thank ... moreyou and good luck!
