The black tolex material is missing completely on one side and mostly on the other. The latches and hinges are working but the metal piece that holds the handle onto the case is broken. The bottom edge of the case is also a little loose and may need to be glued. It still seams to be a pretty sturdy case. Sold as is. As pictured, and as found. No reserve auction. Gibson OHSC 60's Vintage Clean HardCase Kalamazoo KG 1A Coronet Olympic
Original circa mid 60's Gibson Hardcase.Gold plush interior This case is very clean. Solid and tight after over 40 years.Minor wear overall. All latches and hinges work great. One tear at a corner and a couple small holes in the back. See Pics. Not 100% sure what was in the case originally. It definitely was a 24 3/4" scale. Single pickup, two knob solidbody with six on a side tuners and probably a vibrato.I test fitted the case with a str*t and it fit well with a few inches to spare at top. Perfect case for that vintage Gibson Kalamazoo KG1-A, Epiphone Coronet. Olympic, or Dwight. I think that covers all the mid 60's Gibson product s that will fit. Gold plush lining is much brighter and more"goldish" than the pics. I had to adjust the camera as the gold was just too bright and the interior condi tion hard to see. For sale is a 1973-75 Gibson J-50 Deluxe Acoustic guitar. This was once a top-of-the line. Made in the USA guitar! However, age/wear has gotten the best of this beauty. The guitar still plays and could use a setup and a fresh pair of strings. I originally purchased this with the goal of rehabbing the guitar, however did not find the time to. Make this your next project! I tried my best to capture the imperfections with the guitar in my pictures, however feel free to let me know if you have any questions. The top of the guitar's body has a number of imperfections, scratches and a couple cracks(one larger than the rest- bordering the soundhole) Around the rear edges of the guitar there seems to be a compound- not exactly sure what it is as it was there when I purchased- see pictures. This is a beautiful"Lawsuit Era"J-200 made in Japan in the mid 70s. Probably by Matsumoku and much like a Greco. Burny, Ibanez or Aria. Lawsuit Era" has become the generic term for guitars built in Japan during the late 70s to early 80s. The craftsmanship and designs were so close to original vintage American specs that Gibson/ Fender threatened a lawsuit to make them stop. Eventually they came to an agreement. Now these"lawsuit era" guitars are very collectable! CONDITION: The Neck is good and straight with no problems. Frets and fret board have very little play ware. Body shows only the slightest scratches. Weather checking and marks. The hardware is just starting to age a little and looks great like a vintage guitar should! No damage like cracks or chips at all. 1958 Gibson L-50 Acoustic Guitar, Excellent Original Condition!! Nice!!
You are bidding on a 1958 Gibson L-50 Acoustic Guitar. This guitar is used. In excellent condition, with minor wear. This guitar belonged to a friend of mine and was his first guitar that he bought new. Serial number is T6395 1. The 1958 L-50 has a 16 inch wide body with"F" holes, rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and 8 pearloid trapezoid inlays. It has a trapeze tailpiece, elevated pick guard, adjustable bridge, dot fingerboard inlays, and Kluson tuners. The Sunburst finish on this guitar is amazing considering it's age. The mahogany neck is straight and the Maple sides and back are beautiful, as are the bindings on the neck and body! The frets have minimal wear, if any. The pick guard has minor scratches, and there are some minor scratches on the body from being played. The trapeze tailpiece needs to be polished. The body has a blemish that appears to be in the finish, not damage from the outside. The back is nice, no buckle rash! The hard shell case is very nice, with a few scratches. VINTAGE 1950'S GOWER ACOUSTIC GUITAR. PRE GRAMMER. AWESOME PLAYER. GIBSON STYLE.
Let me start off by saying that I love Gower guitars! J.W. Gower began building guitars in his Nashville garage in 1955. He built primarily acoustics that found there way into the hands of some pretty big country players. In 1965 or so Gower went into business with Billy Grammer. Designing a line of guitars based closely on the ones he had been building. The story goes that due a dispute over who's name would go on the headstock and JW left the company, just as they were getting off the ground. He restarted the Gower company in 1967, opening a 3,900 square-foot shop on Division St. in Nashville. The first employees were J.W.s father F.D. Gower along with his brothers Max and Harold, his Daughter Alma and another partner, A.W. Reid. The bulk of Gower Guitars were made at this factory although I am convinced that the at least one batch ... moreof Gowers from the early 70's were imported from Japan and finished off in the Nashville shop. This one here is a really cool and very early example of Gowers work. There is no way to precisely date it but it has the early. Headstock logo that he was using on the garage built guitars, Identical binding to other examples from the 50's and early 60's as well as Grover 98 tuners from the 50's/early 60's. All of the later Gowers had Rotomatics on them. It's 25 1/2" scale length and 15 1/2" at the lower bout. The top is spruce and the rest of the guitar is made out of maple. The neck is great. chunkier than any Gower I have seen but in a good way and certainly not to big. There are several tight, repaired cracks on the top as shown in the pictures and one small piece of missing binding and tight crack on the back. There is also an area of the upper bout, where you would rest your arm, where it is possible that the finish has been touched up. The neck was recently re-set and the action is great the whole way up. The frets are in good shape as well. A vintage case is included but not pictured. The sound is loud but not boomy and has a lot of midrange. N

But the information was confusing at best. The serial number 167902 was to follow the Gibson serial numbers and dated the guitar to 1964. There is no mention of the rectangular white label with blue boarder. The serial number is also impressed into the back of the headstock. According to the book on page 105, C-0 Mahogany back and sides, decal rosette, black top binding, unbound back, rosewood fingerboard, ebony nut, zero fret introduced: 1962 Discontinued: 1971. It appears that at one time the guitar got wet so you can see where it was stained on the bottom where the strap pin would be. This happened years ago and the guitar seems to be fine. The rosette decal is peeling off, and there are a couple of decent dings here and there but that just adds some character, although the one on the back may have caused a small crack. The action is a little less little high for my taste on the twelfth fret and I was going to shave a little of the saddle but never got around to it. And decided that that should be left up to the new owner because action not unlike string gauge is a personal thing. The frets are in excellent condition as is the fingerboard showing a little wear

1978 Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary EXCELLENT condition with leather case
1978 Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary Model#73148059#0603 I purchased this very fine instrument in 1995 at the Guitar Center in San Diego. CA. I have taken VERY good care of it while it has been in my care as I intended to hopefully keep it long enough to pass it on to my children. The reality of it is that our family needs the money now. So please bid with confidence when I say that this guitar has not had one repair(besides the initial"once over" setup by a luthier when I purchased it and strings) since I've owned it or does it appear to have ever been"tinkered" with. It has some minor indenting to the varnish on the back of the body due to buttons and buckles. But the varnish is intact there and on the entire guitar with no cracks or splits with the exception of a few small nicks from sliding over to the floor ... moretwice and a wear spot from the strap on the back edge corner. The binding is yellowed from age but it is still on the light side. The pickup covers. Bridge and pickguard bracket all have normal wear from sweat, picks and strumming. The pickup covers also have some string wear, when I purchased it the action was set so low that the strings had marred the finish. The pots are tight and smooth and the tuners are likewise. The lowboy frets are also in excellent condition. The neck is straight and true. Excellent craftsmanship. When I purchased it. It was without a case. I purchased then, a standard at the time, leather Les Paul case. It is also in excellent condition and only has minor scuffs, nicks and one stain. I hate to sell it because of the investment value. Take care of it and you've got a guaranteed return. It has a crack-free body and has the original neck set with great angle and newly professionally dressed frets that play up and down the neck without buzz. Even the endpin is original on this great L-7. Lots of flame on the maple back and sides. The neck is also maple and these have Brazilian Rosewood fretboards and Spruce tops. It's strung with flatwounds and sounds as great as it looks. the original pickguard has deteriorated and is included with the guitar. You can restore it or replace it. It will not attach to the guitar without some work. The original hardware is also included in case you want to use that. Vintage 1958 Gibson ES 125 Archtop Electric Guitar - Thick Hollowbody - W/Case

I bought this at a local estate auction and family told me just about everything I needed to know about this guitar, bought new back in the late 1950s and the owner had played guitar for a few years and for the past 40 years has been stored in a spare room and not much has been done with it since. This guitar has 2 ink stamps inside body, one F hole you can see ES-125 and the other F hole you can see T4471 14. There are a few things I do need to call, the tailpiece is original to this guitar ... morebut when I bought it there was another tailpiece on the guitar with the original one with the screws wrapped up and stored in the carrying case. The bad thing is the tailpiece that was on the guitar when I bought it did not have the same screw hole locations so there are 2 different sets of holes- I have now put the original one back on and it covered up almost all the other holes but did not quite cover up the 2 outside holes, which I have showed a few pictures of the tailpiece area. The other thing is the original owner had applied little metal diamond shaped letters(his name- LEN) to the head of the guitar(see pictures)This guitar is in beautiful condition, I plugged this into a small amp I had here at home and it worked loud and clear. The lid in the case with the"GIBSON" logo is there but has come loose from the inside of the case( the cloth hinge has let loose) If you have been looking for a real nice one of these this might be what your after. Post -war Gibson ES-125 very good condition with original and upgraded parts
Up for auction is an authentic post-war Gibson ES-125 with original and upgraded hardware. There is no hardshell case or gig bag. I'm selling this guitar for a good friend of mine who is not an ebay member. He purchased it back in the early'70's from the nephew of Buddy Holly's equipment manager. My friend upgraded the playability of the guitar by changing the bridge and tuning machines but he kept all of the original hardware as well(a wise move indeed! The guitar is in very good condition for its age. I know my friend played it only sparingly. It has its share of nicks. Scratches and worn spots that were put there by the original owners(maybe, baby. Buddy himself? I tried to document these in the photos. I have more photos of the guitar upon request. This auction is for a Very Rare! 1976 Les Paul Custom in Natural 3 Pickup Configuration with Original Hard Shell Case. The guitar all original with the following improvements. 3 Modern Alnico II Humbuckers replaced the older Humbuckers that had issues(I do not have them) 490T in the Neck Position and 490R in the Middle and Bridge Positions. This guitar Rocks like no other with these 3 pickups! The Strap Locks were replaced with Shaller Gold Locking Strap Locks(I do have the original leather Strap Locks) This is a TRUE factory 3 Pickup design(not one routed by the owner) See picture of middle Pickup mounting hole. I rate the condition a C8.7 and I am conservative in my rating. There is some buckle rash(worming) on the back that does not pentrate the clearcoat(as seen in pics) and some very minor dings and dimples on the sides and back. As shown in the pictures. A sweet Gibson GA-8T Discoverer Tremolo Amp. Disclaimer- I am a harmonica player not an amp tech or gear head so everything stated is"to the best of my knowledge" Please see the pictures and do your own research. Please ask questions about specifics if you have them. The speaker code is 220201. Dating this amp or the speaker anyway to January 1962. I cannot comment on the power transformer as I cannot see the number and would have to remove the head from the cabinet to find it. The tolex is in very good condition with the tiniest of holes on the lower left foot( I tried to photo it) and slight separation of tolex from cabinet on bottom underside seam, both easily fixed. The panel is slightly pitted consistent with age but much bettter than is usually found on Gibson amps of this vintage. There are no other ... moremarks or burns. The handle appears to be original as does the emblem. The emblem is plastic which appears consistent with amps made during that time. And is very clean. The tone on this amp is totally Gibson. Undersated and jazzy. Typical Gibson tone but not enough power to play with a 4 piece amplified band. This amp would be great in trio, or if your band can play at moderate volume. Discoverer GA 8 T(1960-63) The speaker is 12" Power Rating 9-10Watts Tubes: Pre 1x 6EU7. 1x 6C4 Power: 2x 6BQ5 Rectifier: 1x 6CA4 In my opinion this is almost a collector quality amp. You don’t see a lot of info on these so I will tell you what I know. It has a laminated. 3–ply spruce top. Definitely intended for an electric guitar. Remember the whole theory behind the ES series was feedback reduction for amplification by using laminated wood. No, it is not a carved spruce top like an L-5 CES has. There is a photo or two in my Photobucket album where you can see it. It is also noticeably lighter than a maple top ES-350. Those guitars have a 5-ply top. I believe Gibson made no modern reproductions of this laminated spruce top. You would have to get a vintage 1950’s ES series guitar with the spruce top to get it. So it is kind of a rare thing. It is spruce tone-wise, ... morebut without a non-vintage equivalent like you would have on an ES-350 or an L-5 CES. Also. Note that this is an ES-350, not an ES-350T. It is a 17” guitar the same size as an L-5 CES or ES-5. It has the full length 25 ½” scale and is 3 3/8 inch deep. ES-350T’s are a thin-line guitar with a short scale like a Byrdland and they sound a lot different because of that. It is well worn-in and the neck is very comfortable. It is strung with 010’s and is easy to play. It has been refretted with tall jumbo frets. They are about 0.047 inch tall. It is very easy to bend notes. It also has a new bone nut and the overall setup is good. The neck has a D profile somewhat similar to the 1959 Les Paul Custom shop reproductions out there nowadays. It is 0.910" thick at the 1st fret and 0.950” at the 12th. It does not have a U profile with any shoulder to it. 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar With Case. Rare Fireburst Finish!
For auction is a vintage 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom electric guitar with a newer Gibson Historic hard case. Here is a rarer finish on a Norlin era Gibson that you wont see everyday. Fireburst finish with the gold hardware. At first I was calling it tri-burst but I was looking at some google images and this looks more like what players call a fireburst finish. I did speak to the previous owner for a while about the guitar. He told me that the toggle switch was original and put in by Gibson but I disagreed with him at first and thought it was aftermarket. After doing some research I did find a Les Paul Artist from the same year and it had the same style switches. The overall wiring looked similar so I am not sure who is right and actually leaning towards it being original. I have an email into Gibson and I will update the listing with any ... morenew info if they get back to me. The switch on it now is not active but from the wiring it looks like a phase switch. Pick ups are original and it had an extra stop tail and studs which I will include in the case. It has that gorgeous three piece maple top, 3 piece neck, and one piece back. Besides being an obvious choice for rock players. The jazz and blues players as well swear by these. This is an unchambered old school Gibson that will just sing out with sustain like you would expect from a vintage guitar. Tone wise we are talking well sculpted mids/low that love some heavy playing but don't break up on you while the highs are not harsh but still bright with plenty of character. We tested it out through my JCM 800 clone head/marshall 800 cab, sounded awesome and pour on the gain to really open up the tone. For the palm mute rock/metal players I think you will love it as much as me and it resonates perfectly for heavy riffs you want to ring out on. I play with an volume pedal so rolling off that and switching to the neck pup brings out its versatility because then we are getting into the iconic cleaner LP tones that everyone else tried to replicate. 1969 GIBSON ES 330 LONGNECK RARE SUNBURST FINISH
1969 Gibson ES 330 Long neck 6 lbs totally hollow. Will ship in a brand new ETKL case. Only Sunburst finish example i've ever seen. Also the only factory 330 i've ever seen with the Casino inlays! This is not a refin. Or a reneck. this is factory Gibson. P-90's have never been out of this guitar. And these are a good set. Nice and crisp and LOUD. Perfect match. You'll dig the middle position! Frets were redone at Gibson with capped ends $750 baby. Look close at pic's for the size of these frets. They are large. However you don't get any detuning when playing open chords at the bottom. Set-up is also Gibson factory. There is NO wear on these frets. NONE whatsoever. The neck is similar to the 60's and 70's Les Pauls. 1/32 of an inch shy of 1 5/8 at the nut. Neck is straight. Perfect. Stop tailer was also done ... moreat Gibson. $250 The finish is spectacular. Still glows as from the factory. In fact laquar smell is still present. Tuners were replaced with Shallers at one point. When will people stop doing this to these guitars. Repair men told you you needed tuners to tune it. When all you needed was a good tuner. Don't get me started) Anyhow there's a crack on the back of the headstock from some idiot trying to force a screw into the wood without drilling first. I had the crack repaired. It's solid and will not move. It's not a usual style neck break. It's vertical not across. No tuning issues guarenteed. If I were keeping it. I would have the back of the neck reshot and fill the screwholes from those garbage shallers. Brand new set of Kluson Deluxe's. So I could use the original holes. And not disturb the neck anymore. Original bridge with steel saddles installed. This is one beautiful 330 longneck. Absolutley one of a kind player. Ready to rock. Leaving the country in six months and can only take two guitars on the plane. Lots of $$$$$$$$ if I take more. This guitar is going to make someone VERY happy. Immediate pay only. 1956 Gibson ES 125
This 1956 Gibson ES125 Hollow Body Electric Guitar This was given as a gift to the man that gave it t o me. From his wife. He played it extensively in and around area bars and taverns and God knows where. He was a very good player, instructor and teacher. He gave it to me after I had helped him teach a local adult education chord class. He could not finish the obligation because of a conflicting acting commitment. He also gave it to me as we where friends. He also had remarked to me that as a result of his advanced years(eighty plus) He could no longer enjoy playing as he used to. Although this was ok because he liked playing the piano better anyway. Over the years, this has been my favorite guitar to play. It is set up for playing all over the fret board and it sounds great. The pick-up is not the original, although I believe it is"period ... morecorrect" because the wiring for the pick-up is cloth covered. T he guitar is not pristine by any stretch of the imagination. But when you look it over, you can feel the history and character ooze forth. The clear lacquer on the guitar is checked and even worn off in some places. You can see wear on the fret board from the years of playing. You can see the spot at the top of the peg head where the guitat was leaned against something over and over. Yes. I am quite sure there examples in newer condition out there, although I would be surprised to find any with this level of obvious history. Vintage 1967 Gibson ES-330 Electric Hollow Body Guitar Grant Green
This is a beautiful 1967 Gibson ES-330 full hollowbody electric guitar with original P-90 pickups. The neck is straight and the frets are in very good shape. The tuners are vintage but I don't believe they are the originals. I can't prove it either way. One of the tuners broke and was replaced with a similar vintage tuner. They aren't a perfect match but they fit the vintage holes so there was no need to drill new holes. This is a player. It's not just for showing off to your friends. It sounds very good unplugged and is amazing when cranked through an amp. It's also light as a feather. I don't have the exact weight but I've never played an electric guitar that was this light. This guitar also comes with its original case which is beat up but still useable and can be fixed up.

1974 Gibson Les Paul Signature Bass! Incredible Condition! With Original Case!
This is. By far, the cleanest Gibson Les Paul Signature Bass I've ever encountered. When a friend contacted me, and asked if I would help sell a Gibson bass he'd had for years, I wasn't prepared for what awaited me when I opened the case. What we have here. Is one of the 627 Les Paul Signature Basses, produced between late 1973 until 1979. This bass has been in it's case most of it entire life. It is nearly as clean as the day it left the factory. There are almost no visible flaws. The gold-top finish is brilliant. The neck is virtually unplayed. The fingerboard and frets look new. It's hard to describe just how beautiful this bass is. Just stunning. The serial number is 509094. Which puts it somewhere in late 1974. It has the"Made In USA" stamp, and a"Second" stamp. Most of these basses I've seen ... moreover the years, have a"Second" stamp, usually due to a flaw in the finish. On the volute, are some scratches to the finish that are hard to describe. The owner, who has owned this bass for nearly it's entire existence, says that these marks have always been there. Being that these are the only flaws that are evident, we wonder if they are the reason for the"Second" stamp. Regardless, you'd be hard pressed to find a cleaner example of a very limited production Gibson bass. It plays like a dream. Nice low action on a very straight and stable neck. Feels like a brand new bass. The original case is in super condition. All latches and hinges work perfectly. There is some dust on the case. But I left most of it on there. Didn't want to clean it too much. Dust gives it some character. There's really not much more to say. Other than to look at the photos below and see for yourself. Up for sale is a 1973-75 Gibson EB-3 Electric Bass Guitar- The serial number is 898858- which equates to the 1973-75 timeframe. This is a cool and rare guitar. Unfortunately I don't play bass. I purchased this from its original owner and was told that it is all original, however the bridge cover is missing. I removed the strings and was planning to put a replacement pair on however, I'll leave that to the next buyer. I did my best to capture the imperfections. 1979 Gibson Ttops
For sale is a pair of Gibson Ttops from June of 1979. The date stamp is hard to see on one of the pick ups. But it is still there. It is missing from the 2nd pickup, but I pulled that cover to authenticate that it is a ttop. To the best of my knowledge, the other pickup's cover has never been taken off. They work just fine. I just dont have a use for this extra set. Readings of 7.81 and 7.79 The leads are a little short so you might have to either rewire them or you could splice them to get them to the proper length if you are going to put these in a les paul. 1976 1977 Gibson Les Paul Custom Chrome - RARE - last time being listed on ebay!
Up for auction is an excellent and 1977 Gibson Les Paul Custom with the fast 60's slim neck! Rare in black and chrome. No gold! This has a one piece body. The toggle switch was changed long ago to chrome. The bridge saddles are KTS. And they ring out great. The frets are original and in great shape. There is some worming on the back but no chipping or peeling. Pot codes are 1377647 which date to 1976 the serial# 06 210884 dates it to 1977. It has a few small dings and light scratches from being played but in overall great condition for its age. It's also HEAVY. About 10 lbs. I don't have the original saddles. And I don't have the original case. It will be shipped in a hardshell SKB case. Hate to part with this guitar of awesomeness but tough times dictate actions. Reserve is now lowered. Must sell. Here's a 1976 Gibson L-5 CES in a factory original Tobacco Sunburst finish. This guitar is in pretty decent condition for a 33+ year old instrument. The serial number is the mid 1970's decal system- 00204533. There's some light checking on the front and back- some light scratches. A few light bumps and so on- see pics. The gold hardwear has lots of oxidation. The pickguard is original and is in super brittle condition. The frets are original and in good condition. The pickups look original and sound very nice. ES125 1952: This is aheavily played vintage piece. I’ve hadthe frets leveled and it still has decent fret life left in it. The tuners are repro new and the pickup is aLollar P90 dogear. 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom 25/50 anniversary USA Kalamazoo Plant Vintage
Up for sale is a Gibson Les Paul 25/50 anniversary Custom Shop model made in 1979 at the Kalamazoo Plant. It is in good condition and it plays great. The action. Intonation, and tone are GREAT. This is a collectable guitar, but it has been played throughout the years and it has normal wear. There are plenty of surface marks on the body, and there is a ding on the back of the neck(see pick 8) There is NO damage that effects the wood or the integrity of the instrument. Both pickups are Seymour Duncan Antiquity and they sound great. The switches on the body have all been professionally disconnected. They can easily be reconnected. I believe one is a kill switch. One is a phase switch, and I do not know what the third is. One of the knobs is broken/loose, so I am including a Brand New pack of Gibson knobs(See pic 6) This guitar is stamped"Second" ... moreon the back of the headstock. 1935 Gibson Cromwell, rare X braced top, no reserve
Here is a short clip recorded on a low tech camera mic: I'm guessing this is an early production Cromwell G-6. The logo on this one is inlaid. According to what I have dug up only the G-6 and G-8 during early production had inlaid logo's rather than stinciled. The G-8 had maple back and sides and the G-6 had mahogany B&S as does this one. Another interesting fact is this Cromwell is X braced which is very rare. X bracing produces a much fuller and warmer tone than typical parallel braced archtops. The overall condition is very good. It plays well and sounds great. The action is 3/32" at the 12th fret which is really too low for an archtop but it plays like butter at this height and it's easy on the fingers. If you really want it to bark the string height should be raised to 4-5/32" The fretboard and frets show only ... moreminor wear. The tailpiece. Bridge and pickguard are replacement. I also have a conventional all rosewood bridge I will include. The two bridges provide a wide range of tone. The body is 16" wide and the nut is a hair over 1.75" The scale is 24& 5/8 Gibson length. The finish has a lot of lacquer cracking and some finish wear and loss as most vintage guitars do. But it still has a shine and looks great. NOTE: there is some damage to the back that is stable but does not look like a professional repair. Two of the back braces have been replaced and one is missing. It does not look like the back or top was ever removed so I guess the work was done through the f holes. I was going to have the braces reworked but as I mentioned the back is solid and stable. So I just decided to leave well enough alone. It's not a show piece but it is a heck of a vintage player. It will be shipped in a Gator type fitted case. At the direction of Lloyd Loar, pursuant to his newly designed specifications, Gibson put a truss rod in the F4 and made some other modifications in the thickness of the top. Lloyd Loar was with Gibson from 1919-1924 and is responsible for redesigning the F4 among other well-known innovations. The tone of this Mandolin is exceptional. Every note rings. There are no dead ... morespots and the dynamic range is extraordinary. This particular example is the loudest F4 I have ever heard. It can easily be played in a bluegrass band and has been many times. It has a chop like no other F4 I've heard. My jamming buddies in the Bay Area concur and believe me they know, as two of them own'Loar signed' F5's. The neck is dead straight and there is no body sinkage. It was fitted with high end modern tuners, and a custom made arm rest, and bridge. The action is perfect. There is an approx. 2" repaired crack which could easily be mistaken for a scratch. It is very minor and was professionally repaired. It is in the upper right bout above the pick guard. There is a minor repaired seam. The patina on the back is magnificent. The finish is 100% original with no overspray. I've played and heard scores of Loar era F4's and this is as good or better than any of them. You'd be very hard pressed to find a better one. Now is the time to buy. The market is still depressed, but climbing steadily. Five years ago this mandolin sold for $8,500 and it'll be back there sooner than you might think. Adam Steffey F Model Gibson Mandolin 45/50
I have a Gibson mandolin for sale that I truly wish I didn't have to part with. It is an Adam Steffey model mandolin from 2003 signed by Danny Roberts and is number 45 of 50. Only one minor finish scratch near the bottom point but everything else is great. It has the classic Gibson sound with strong mids and a powerful chop. The bridge has the upgraded pat stamp from the Loar years and the tuners work as they should. no problems keeping it in tune or getting it in tune. The action is great and could easily be adjusted up or down depending on your desire. Neck is good and straight and the fingerboard has a slight radius to it per Steffey's preference. Frets are is good shape and have plenty of life in them. Comes with a nice TKL case that looks new. I also have the original warranty card signed by Adam as well. Fits a J45(original style, slope-shouldered) or similar 16" instrument, J50, ES-125, ES-175, etc. It works, it's still in one piece, handle is intact. There is a spot on one side where there had been a piece of tape and when that was removed some of the covering came off. Up for auction is this vintage GIBSON MANDOLIN Serial# EG-4746. I searched online for info but all I could find was it was made in 1905 according to the serial number. This mandolin is in good playing condition. Cosmetically it is in good condition for it's age. The only issues I can see is i t is missing the elevated pickguard. 2 small cracks above the F holes and no case see pictures. 1983 GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM PROJECT BODY/NECK WITH CASE CHERRY BURST
1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom project guitar. I am extremely firm on my price. This is the body and neck with a very nice hardshell case that fits the guitar perfectly. Hardshell case has stickers and sticker residue. This LP Custom is from 1983. It has many scratches. Dings, and chips in the finish. Back of the guitar has finish indentat ions. Original finish. There is some missing finish on the neck. Neck is the original set and has the correct angle. Finish does have some finish checking. Truss rod has been tested and works in both directions. There are no cracks in the neck. There is 2 small cracks near where the anchor screw would go for the bridge. This is a solid guitar. The ebony fretboard does have some wear and marks. The binding does have cracks in it. There is also a chip in the binding near a fret(see picture) Unfortunately. The ... morefrets are very short. The frets are not tall enough to get a good crown on. This guitar will need to be professionally re-fretted. If you don't mind flat tops on your frets, you could almost use it as it is but the frets will still need to be polished and crowned as best as someone can crown them, which will be hard since they are so short. Frets are still scratched on tops since the job was never completed. Back of the body has lots of buckle rash and a indentation which is not very visible in the photos. 2001 Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman
I am selling this beautiful Gibson Country Gentleman for my father who purchased it used a few months ago at a guitar store. Although he was a big fan of Chet Atkins and really wanted this guitar. He finds now that he plays his acoustic guitars while this one sits in the case. So it is time to let someone else enjoy the instrument. The guitar is in very good condition for a used instrument-no dings or scratches. But it does show some normal signs of aging. There are a couple of very small scuff marks, but they are visible only when searching for them with the guitar angled just right toward the lighting. Aside from these marks, the finish looks excellent. Also, some of the gold plating on the Bigsby bridge is worn away, and the gold plating on just the top left post of the bridge(about the size of a dime-probably from resting the palm of ... morethe hand on the bridge while thumb-picking Chet style) is worn and silver shows through. The gold plating on the tuners and the pickups look great. The guitar really looks great, and the fading of the gold plating is not noticeable/distracting to me, but again, it has faded on the places that I mentioned. The pickups and controls work perfectly. It plays very nicely. And there is very, very slight fret wear on the first 3 frets of the 1st and 2nd strings. You cannot feel the fret wear at all, and it does not affect the playing whatsoever. In fact, most folks would not even notice it, and I would call it“negligible fret wear, but I do want to be exact in my description of the instrument’s condition. It is really a beautiful instrument–sort of a walnut finish with the grain showing through. The case is in very good condition–no noticeable scratches/dings. The serial number is 02581390 which I understand makes it a 2001 model(also what the dealer told us) The serial number and“made in the U.S.A” is stamped into the wood on the back of the headstock.
