I can tell you it is very. Very old. I have had it quite a number of years myself. I just could never tell if it is really marble. I don't know what name to give it except stone fruit! Very Old Styling and Paint Very Old Stems and Leaves Approx 3" Tall- Very Heavy Some paint loss- nothing too bad at all. Considering age. Up for your consideration is this beautiful hand carved Italian Genuine Alabaster Mushroom. Probably dates to the 1950's or 60's. The mushroom is hand carved and painted to look like a real toadstool. Measures 3-1/2" tall with a 4-1/2" diameter across the top and 2-1/4" across the bottom. Still retains the original foil label that reads Genuine Alabaster. Hand Carved, Made In Italy. Beautiful alabaster stone painted fruit from Italy. These are absolute works of art that are becoming harder to find. This 7 piece lot includes a banana that is about 6" long and the detail is fabulous. The apple is very realistic. The stem is missing. There is a fig. Apricot and an orange. The orange has some paint wear and has no stem The grapes measure about 8" and have some wear on one side. I'm not sure what the small red fruit is.it does have a stem. Here is a set of Alabaster Dark Red Cherries. The cherries are approx 3" tall. The biggest cherry is 1" i n diameter and the smallest cherry is 3/4" in diameter. From 2.5" diameter to 7" banana. Fresh from a fine old Denver estate, and offered with No Reserve. Condition is very good to excellent overall. Some bits of the plastic stems are missing, showing the typical surface scuffing and marks from display and use. Vintage Alabaster Marble Stone Fruit Bookends Italian
This auction is for a pair of bookends which consists of alabaster/ stone fruit on a marble base. The bookends are 4.5 inches long. 3.5 inches wide and 5.25 inches tall.The corners of the marble have some where and one is a little chipped. The each bookend has a whole pear with wood stem, a sliced pear in front, banana, what looks like a strawberry with stem and leaves,and a yellow apple or apricot with stem. On the other bookend this piece is off white with no stem. One banana isn't very yellow and has a black mark on it. Some wear, knicks on the fruit but nothing bad. They weigh 5.5 lbs without box.

Old vintage stone fruit carved alabaster apple or pear antique Italy
Up for auction is this old alabaster carved fruit. I am not sure of its age but it was made in Italy originally. It has a crack that goes with the grain you can see it in the pics. It goes all the way around the fruit so it may have split at some point and has been repaired or glued. It doesn't take away from the look at all in my opinion and is quiet common in these. It is almost 4" in length. The stem is wood.
